Hy, I my wardrobe, among other rolling stones t-shirts, I have found 4 shirt:
Some Girls, Exile, Sticky and Love you live.
Each t-shirt is only printed in the front and there is written on the sleeve "the north american tour 1989"

Does anyone know how many different shirts there are?
there is a particular reason for them?

I don't remember seeing anything like that in shows at the time, so they feel to me like contemporary recreations to me.

I honestly don't remember those being sold at the concerts either.

I'm not familiar with those 4 shirts from the SW Tour...but those 4 and only those 4 were available during the VL Tour in 94/95.

I never seen it at any tour.

When buying tickets for the SW tour, we were offered (and bought) shirts with "1989 Rolling Stones Tour - I'm Going" on the back.

I still have mine.

I have about a dozen shirts from this tour, some are bootlegs, but I never saw any of the retro shirts.

I probably would have bought one. At that time there were not all the options for shirts like there are now.

They passed out little catalog booklets at every tour from Steel Wheels through No Security that were loaded with merch not offered at the shows, most of it on the chintzy side. I seem to recall album themed shirts therein.

I can confirm those T-shirts were sold at the time.
I have the Some Girls Steel Wheels T-shirt too.
From the next year, the Urban Jungle Tour, I have also a Some Girls and Love You Live T-shirt.
I know there was at least a 1990 Sticky Fingers T-shirt, but I didn't realy liked that one, so I didn't buy it. Can't remember the Exile T-shirt, but I don't think there were others than those mentioned by andrea72.
