Was at BC Place last night for the women's soccer match, Sinclair's last game. 48000 in attendance plus another 18000 across the street for Canucks game so pretty busy downtown.

No fear of Canucks hockey in July...but will the Stanley Cup hangover be over by then?

Well Vancouver is (finally) a make up from 2020, as well as being the first time in 18 years. There's a little pent up demand!

I didn’t have the budget to even try for pit tickets nor the time to use multiple sources since I was working at the time but I got nice seats with a great view and I’m taking my kids to their first Stones concert and my girlfriend too. Thanks to this site I booked an air b n b about 11 minutes walk from the stadium before tour dates were officially announced. Probably drop off the kids after the show and check out this wicked dive bar/karaoke pub called Funky Winkerbeans on West Pender if anyone feels like belting out some tunes Any idea what time we should start loitering around the stadium if we want to get a chance to spot them showing up for sound check? I wonder where they will all stay? They don’t all stay at the same hotel like in the old days. Might bring a copy of the album to see if I can get it signed. Maybe a guitar. Looking forward to some Vancouver sushi, for whatever reason it’s about half the price it is on the island.

Bit off topic but today the World Cup dates were announced and BC Place will host 7 games while Toronto will host 6! Doubt I'll going to any of the games, tickets will probably be very expensive. It'll be interesting to see the type of grass they lay in the stadium for the tournament.
On another soccer note, Miami will be in town this spring to play the Whitecaps and tickets went pretty fast with people hoping to watch Messi play. Miami just played an exhibition game in Hong Kong and the sold out crowd booed loudly as Messi didn't play due to an injury and many wanting refunds.

I had a million hotels to choose from - glad I had booked them based on rumors and deduction, so I got a good rate more than a week before the official announcement.

So I finally settled on this apartment/suite hotel called Rosedale on Robson. Affordable and decent reviews.

There's going to be a Shidoobee pre-party in town on July 4th, forget where it was, but I will look it up.

Getting into town on July 3rd.

The Rosedale was my go-to when I used to travel to Van for work, stayed many times! If I wasn’t staying with friends it would have been my first choice.
