10 days sounds like a long time. Is there a way to contact them and ask what's up?

I’m sure you have but make sure and check your junk/spam folders in case you received a reply regarding the eta, if not I’d contact them early next week.

I asked from [secure.cic.gc.ca] on Thursday, I mean 7 days after my application.
No reply at all.
And I can not find another contact.

Yes. Checked junk/spam.
Also I can check my status on [onlineservices-servicesenligne.cic.gc.ca]
No update.
My status is "We received your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you."

After my application I got just one email with my application number. And I confirmed "Immigration Ottawa" charged c$7 to my credit card.

Now I just found official FB account of Canada Consulate in Tokyo. - I am from Japan.
It is doubtful they can handle this issue but I am going to ask contact point in Canada.

What else I should do ??confused smiley

I got my last one within a couple of hours, so you are definitely right to be chasing this.

Good Luck.

I’m not sure if that’s of any help, there is a link on the page to a webform where you can try submitting a status update, there’s also a telephone number listed (I’m guessing not an option for you but a google search will throw it up) I’d definitely start making some inquires about it.

I’d hope they get back to you early this coming week.

Does anyone have a reliable method to guess how many tickets have been sold and whether additional tickets will be released?

Just looking at ticketmaster, seems only tickets available are beside the stage, some pit and rear general admission. Rest are verified resale tickets. For any concert using the full stadium configuration you can seat aprox 45-50k. BC Place capacity was lowered when the stadium underwent the huge 500 billion dollar renovation right after the winter Olympics.
Biggest recent crowd for the stadium was last Saturday for the BC Lions home opener. They had 50 Cent doing a pre game concert and it drew 54000.

The stadium lists its maximum capacity as 54,500

According to BC place itself the actual record for capacity is by Ed Sheeran who beat previous record by U2, their roundtable stage allowed for greater audience capacity. See here:

According to Chris May, general manager of B.C. Place, Sheeran drew 65,061 fans to the Vancouver venue, surpassing the record of 63,803 set by U2 in 2009.

As far as tickets go the only ones that aren’t verified resale that I see left are either very expensive or limited view. Pit B had a price drop last week to face value but now they’re back up over $1300. Looking forward to the show, still quite serious about karaoke at Funkywinkerbeans aftersmiling smiley

I think the U2 & Ed Sheeran gigs were in the round so that opens up a whole end of the stadium where the stage usually is.

Good luck to you, a bigger nut - I feel for you and hope you've managed to get an update by now.

I have an eTA still valid from a previous trip to Canada but when I made the application the eTA came through in not more than a couple of hours, so maybe there is some kind of technical issue?

If you don't get any joy soon through your enquiries, your only option might be to submit a new application in the hope that any issue has been fixed.

When tickets first went on sale I purchased 2 sets of tickets (one set for ourselves and another for friends). Our friends are no longer able to attend so I have a set of tickets available for sale. Section 414, row CC. THEY ARE IN Tm verified resale, but would be nice to sell them privately so that TM doesn’t get another cut!

Yes, only difference was U2 stage was bigger than Sheeran's so less crowd on the floor. I still can't believe how popular Ed Sheeran is!

Got four tickets with limited or obstructed view, so hopefully the monitors are extra large!

I got an email address of immigration in Ottawa from Canadian consulate in Tokyo and asked my case.
Then finally approved.spinning smiley sticking its tongue out
They didn't tell me any reason but it's OK.

Now I am leaving Tokyo to NYC. Spend a couple of days, fly to Chicago then after 2 shows(and 2 MLB games) enter Vancouver.
See you guys.

If anyone has a spare LD for Vancouver please let me know, I have a friend who’s a music nut and $200 is a lot of cash when you have 2 young kids and a mortgage! I know it’s a long shot but it would be much appreciated if anyone has a spare LD and willing to do a music lover a favour.

Thanks for the response Babyblue!
I have a feeling I’ll make a donation towards a ticket for my friend if I don’t find a spare LD. Glad you enjoyed your run on this tour and I can’t wait til next week!

I think it depends on the band sound system. McCartney in 2012 and 2019 sounded decent and I sat in both lower and upper bowl. AC/DC 2015 was absolutely terrible, upper bowl was so echoey. Elton 2022 upper bowl sounded great.

Good point, hopefully that's the case with the Stones (good sound quality for all or most)
