It's too bad there isn't more calendar space between YVR and other shows. Would be amazing if it somehow got a 2nd show.
Just glad I was able to get enough dips for Van and Seattle. After the purchasing gauntlet, my sympathetic nervous system is now at threat-level bear-chase.

Arriving July 3rd and staying until July 9th. Gotta check out Vancouver Island the weekend after the show. A friend in Nanaimo was kind to offer a place to stay.

I would agree but probably the hottest show is Taylor Swift's 3 shows at BC Place next December.
A few friends couldn't get tickets but they're looking at Seattle now since there's quite a bit of tickets still available there and it's not too far a drive from Vancouver.

So looking forward to getting back to Van for the first time in a few years. The pilgrimage will include stops at East is East on W Broadway, La Casa Gelato on Venables, maybe a noodle around Lynn Canyon (no crowds - or admission $$$ - like the Capilano bridge) and a walk along the seawall.

Any whiskey stores along the way?

Whisky! (Proper Scottish!) That Whiskey stuff is from Ireland or (shudder) the US!
Nothing like the kind of stock you get in Alberta, as I recall, unless things have changed. Not worth it for me, with my stockpile, especially since it means you have to check a bag to get it home, which is fraught with peril these days. I’ll be trying for something decent in Chicago Duty Free for my hosts in Van, I can carry that on.

No stop at the New Amsterdam Cafe on Hastings?
Been a few years, but I do enjoy making a visit for a cup of coffee

I just absolutely love Vancouver. First visited in 2011 on one of my several Canada trips (there's 13 in total if my math is right!). It's such a beautiful city.
The last time I was around was the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships in 2019. I jinxed Team Canada in the semi's, and the Finns ended up winning gold. (I always jinx the Canadians, they have never won the tourney if I went...)
Seeing the Stones in Canada has been a bucket list item for me for a long time now. Favorite band, favorite country; what more could you ask for?

Topi, you are an honorary Canadian now. I think we can all agree
