I also don't have any social media accounts - it's all done via normal web browser. But it's a little time-consuming: login via Google required for the correct Twitter timeline, carefully selecting the right link on Facebook which doesn't load the half Internet, and using a different web browser for Instagram because my default browser partly doesn't work anymore with Instagram.

The giant screens from the no filter tour were really great for those of us who can’t afford those pit tickets. Hope it’s a similar set up on this tour. Looking forward to the surprise. And hopefully we get a good 3-5 songs nightly from the new album.

I see FB and IG things... it's nothing worthy. Snippets - hype. Usually timed with the 2020s attention span.

You're not missing anything: various stadium footage, IORR playing... of course, FB and IG are free so it's free hype. Yet it's so... lacking.

Of course they probably pay $ whatever to promiote, have ABC show up in reels and or stories... it's the new commercial on MTV etc. They've (seemingly) always promoted whatever even when shows/tours are SOLD OUT - they still want people to know!

HOT ROCKS, HONK... bump up in busyness for a little while. Online presentation every 3 days or whatever for those that pay attention. Probably less than 50% of their true audience.

..................I just checked the Jazz fest website .The Stones are playing from 5-7pm??????.............All of the big acts are. I'm guessing that the festival closes around 10, 11 at the latest which is not unusual, but what a letdown!!

With a great deal of despair I have had to pull the pin on my trip, with wife, to Vegas, Seattle and Vancouver in May, with Stones tickets having been bought for Vegas and Seattle (seats and Lucky Dip in Seattle, seats in Vegas). My wife needs to see specialists “sometime over next 2 months” according to her GP today. She is obviously far more important.

I’m going to put the seats back up on Ticketmaster. Not sure I can do that with Lucky Dip.

The fairgrounds always close after the last act around 7pm each day,
This is normal.
No lights on the fairgrounds for night shows.

The reason the Jazz Fest has to end at 7 pm is not because of lighting, it's because the Fairgrounds, where Jazz Fest is held, is in a residential neighborhood & the 7 pm curfew is the trade-off for hosting such a massive musical event where families reside. Noise ends at 7 pm & this gives the attendees the chance to get cleaned up & hit the clubs for more music in the evening!

The Rolling Stones are rehearsing at this point in LA. 5 minutes around my corner.
It's a big city though, no need to search.

Given the reports of their rehearsals hopefully they do consistently play more than 3 songs from HACKNEY DIAMONDS:

Their very own hype about this album, not much different than any hype in the past, has one exception: it's been 18 years.

Each new album tour from VOODOO through BANG revealed they were more interested in being historical than present. The work they did to provide a new album was nullified, especially with BANG.

It's understandable as each new album got released their legacy got bigger.

Then don't record/release/tour new albums, just call it HOT ROCKS WORLD TOUR 7 or whatever.

They essentially accomplished that with NO FILTER, which, really, no filter about anything else.

If we don't hear "We have a new album" then we know - another hits tour.

I hope so too. And if casual fans have a problem handling three or four or five new songs, if their energy wanes, then eff them. They probably wouldn't recognize Sad Sad Sad, Out of Control, maybe even Before They Make Me Run.

And I doubt the Stones have time to return to these places. They won't ruin their reputation by suddenly becoming known as a band who plays too much from their new album---that's hilarious to even type after years on the new album thread here. There's not enough time for that to happen.

So glad I will be in Houston give me 5 from Hackney please..

I saw an Instagram post on the Shidoobee board that showed NRG Park with the field completly covered. Looks like the stage will be set up in the next few days. Hoping for something cool!
