No need to be as spesific as "Dark wave". The Clash, U2 and The Alarm... -Say no more. Those who had their most fragile youth in the early 80s, here`s something for you. House occupants with black hair like sun beams, and pale skin, I guess there`s still somebody left of you...

But damn, Ronnie sounds like a young gun slinger. Actually those two short but old-school, well-written and effective solos - not so typical in a Rolling Stones recording - reminds me of Jimi's classic "All Along The Watchtower" solos. I didn't expect THAT to come. Could be my favourite Wood solos ever.

One of the best songs on there. Very Jagger, but luckily I love him. The lyrics are awesome too.

YES!!!! And I still think that riff could’ve gone on either Heathen or Reality by Bowie.

Sounds like someone's been listening to Franz Ferdinand (ironically they were huge when ABB came out), but the Stones do it with panache - or maybe they invented it with Shattered...

I probably sound like a broken record, but I don't really like the chorus. I find it quite lazy with that chord sequence. But the verses and that riff are indeed killer. And it is a pleasure to see Keith firing on all cylinders when he played the riff at the Racket show. Always great when he digs their new tunes on stage!

Seems to be about the Redlands bust and the night in jail/prison. That era.

Earlier as well because in the first verse he is singing about the Edith Grove days.

The riff is too modern sounding to me. The sweet noise (Ronnie?) too. Is this song Stonesey? It sounds a bit foreign.

Don't tell to anybody but it sounds like a mixture of Cafe On The Left Bank and The Final Countdown winking smiley.

I could say the same. The others are catching up, but this one was the tune I loved by the first listening, and it still holds the pole position. There is a certain charm in letting a tune grow on you, until you discover its beauty, but it is also great to have tunes like this one that hits you hard straight away, and you know you gonna love it for good.

Now to think of that, there had not been that many latter-day Stones tunes I immediately felt love with, with no any doubt of its greatness. It usually had asked some more listenings to see the greatness. In the past there were so many of them (instant favourites).
