These comments take it the step further that I'd already reached.

What I mean by that is that it (the whole album) struck me as not just nostalgic with lots of familiar sounds. It was about another post that said it sounded like a Stones greatest hits album, but t's far more than that. It's a Stones "greatest sounds" album, with an almost unique blend of familiar sounds built into new songs, an anthology of the last 61 years brought right up to the present.

Something very unusual has been achieved here.

I feel exactly the same way.

Ok must admit it is growing on me a lot, as well as the Mcartney song

This is my favorite track on the new album. Fell in love on the first listen. Is Elton John actually on it though? I can't hear any keyboards, and Spotify has removed the "(feat. Elton John)" from this song.

A grower. One of my fave tracks on the album. There`s some 70/80s vibe. Elton John on piano according to the credits sheet.

Pleased to read that, thanks. It was initially difficult to describe how it struck me, but eventually it dawned on me that it's so many of the greatest sounds worked into new songs. That's what I think makes it unique.

Oh, did I mention oozing with nostalgia? Thought so.

I love the riff, love the drums, and the lyrics
The chorus is strange for a Stones song but it works wonderfully
One of the best songs on HD

Beautifully rough, ready and raw with a sound that could have come from the early 70s. In fact I'm getting a real Sway vibe about this one. I love the tone of the overdriven guitars, like the engine hummin' of a Chevrolet Corvette or a Pontiac Firebird taken out on a long desert highway. A modern day Stones classic.

The chorus is bery weak. Excelent guitars. Excelent sax
But the chorus ......

I loved this track the first time I heard it; sax, percussion and late summer sunshine.

Who else hears mid 70s-era (On The Beach?) Neil Young in the yearning guitars?

Excellent commentary...this albums both a show'er and a grower. Loved it from the first listen and loving it upon repeat listens. I'm giving it space because I'm freaked out I'll tire of it, but the ear worms keep it alive in my head nonetheless.

Why the surprise, Hardriffin? Those swaggering guitars don't impress you?

A real grower. Initially not one of the big hitters, but subsequent listens and I can't get enough of it! A highlight.

The riff very reminiscent of Bigger Bangs 'Dangerous Beauty', the melody line definitely traces of 'Too Far Gone', but it is a marvellous track.

You can hear Elton's piano very clear in the instrumental, from around 2:03 and during the last minute too, sadly he's buried in the album mix.

I love this song, one of the stronger tracks on the album.
That riff though niggled at me as sounding like something similar to a riff I’d heard before.
Finally realised it’s the riff at 3:30 what do you think?
Subconscious inspiration maybe?

Led Zeppelin what is and what should never be
