The Rolling Stones & Lady Gaga – Sweet Sounds Of Heaven (Live from Racket NYC)

Holy shit, that was amazing. This band keeps reinventing itself. Wow

This is simply outstanding. Fantastic performance of a tune, that is one of the real good songs of their career.
Very, very nice!!

I would have loved lady gaga sync the lead vocals in some part of the first five minutes of the song, just as she did on this video

I just spend about 15 minutes reading the comments
on the YouTube video of Gaga and The Stones.
All incredible comments and some very personal
and touchy comments of old people, some sick, finding
unexpected joy with their favorite band once again.
Maybe one last time.
What an emotional song and performance.

That live performance was indeed amazing, incredibly uplifting and moving, and in these insane times, just a joy to hear and see. Mick and Gaga are so good together, the energy and joy of the band is so good, it just all falls so perfect together it's enough to make you weep, it's like a frickin' miracle. I can't quite believe it.

I think I read that it was Justin's channel, any connection to the Justin who used to post a lot here?

Anyway he wrote there was "more to come", hopefully the whole show!

That live version of Sweet Sounds of Heaven with Gaga is better than the album version. Better singing by both Mick & Gaga. Quite outstanding.

Justin recently plugged his podcast over on rocksoff.org [rocksoff.org]

No idea whether it's the same person that used to post on IORR.

Justin, please pick up the nearest white courtesy telephone! grinning smiley

I spend the last 24 hours getting up to the latest Beatles news and stuff over at Steve Hoffmann, but THIS video of SSOH got me back to the stones forum. What a mindblowing performance. Now I can imagine how it was back in 1968.winking smiley

the live version of Sweet Sounds of Heaven is really great
however the Gaga again overdoing it / oversinging here, same as in Jersey 2012. You must not try to outdo the lead singer, especially if you are a guest performer. Back than Keith was really p...off.

Lady Gaga's voice is in the last part of SSOH higher in the Dolby Atmos mix than Mick. It's the same with the surround system at home as well as at the Dolby Atmos promo during the German pop-up shop bus-tour.

Isn't that what she does? Don't hire someone for what they do and get mad about it. What is she supposed to do, not sing so well, sit in a chair, not emote? I'm confused.

That's why Gaga and Jagger go so well together. Jagger is always overdoing everything because he's Mick Jagger and that's what he does. And Gaga is always overdoing everything because she's Lady Gaga and that is what she does.

A match made in heaven.

That was awesome. This really shows the rolling stones need to stay small from this point forward. Thanks to social media, 4K camera and Dolby Atmos sound, they can now turn your living room into a small club. Hampton Roads was a pay-per-view, future club shows could be as well. They were super prepared for this show and it's great how fulfilling it is. With Charlie gone, now it's really just the Glimmer Twins, they need to stick with the new.

well, i am not familiar with Gaga so i do not know whether she is always overdoing it or even being "famous" for it. all i am saying is that as a guest she should show some respect.

Well...it's what the lead singer of the Rolling Stones wants, AND, it's awesome. You may have to contain your emotion.

AND...come to think of it, would that be your reaction if it were Tina Turner up there with them instead? I don't think so.

If they are going to allow some people to use their phones and not others may I politely suggest they only allow those with a proven track record of creating content that people actually want to watch, that drives their passion for the band and makes them want to go and see them live.

Hot Stuff Archive YouTube Channel

At least you made a brief appearance in the version the band posted on their YouTube channel smiling smiley
