Who would have thought that at this stage of the game Keith would step up, and start slaying it on Bass.

Not that anyone values my opinion but I like it, but I don't love it. I've listened to both versions a few times now and the production and instruments are top notch. My criticism is like Angry, there is no repeating chorus (same lyric) that I can latch on to. So for me both songs, and I do like them both, do not have that consistent chorus hook that draws me in and keeps me coming back. Again just me, I actually like Mick's vocals.

Pretty good ballad, bridge feels a bit forced. The instrumental break is the best part. More jamming between guitars and Stevie Wonder would've made the song better I think.

You’re right Mr. Jimi. There is no repeating chorus. The whole thing is just a repeating chord of Dreams to Remember, with vocal riffs on sweet sound this and sweet sound that. I particularly like the call and response, first Mick calling and then Gaga responding. In the coda, they reverse. Very sweet to be licked this way…. smoking smiley

I am absolutely loving the song. I though Lady G was an odd pairing but I think it works. To get this so late in the game is incredible. i can't wait for the rest of the album!

STONES 2023

We are gifted.

One could say, Oh, Angry was released to say don't get angry... about Lady Gaga with the next single.

I could see the conspiracy crowd going off about that.

Of course that's not the deal.

It's awesome.

STONES 2023.

Certainly the most inspired original song and performance since Bridges. SSOH puts Angry into the Stones by Numbers camp in comparison. While Angry is hummable, this tune is light years better IMHO.

Impressive performance by Lady Gaga, she can really sing anything.
Mick over sings a bit I think.
Stevie Wonder's touch is precious, subtle, like Nicky Hopkins.
Good long song.

Modern day Stones epic. And a new Stones song always make me laugh ‘cause then some of the usual whiners comes to life. Makes my day.

In the context of an album that will be surely eclectic and very enjoyable..."Angry" fits in really well!

That's my problem with the song, they took DTR and grafted a couple of Stonesy sections and a forced bridge ( ala Slipping Away). If I'm honest I prefer the great 85 version of DTR from FFSO with some actual/audible guitar work/weaving and Charlie's terrific beat/breaks...but recognize of course that it has no mainstream/commercial appeal like SSOH.

Also what happened with the credits since last week?! The bass from Watt to Keith and Matt's B3 gone, I can hear an organ part though!

And Lady Gaga is apparently now spelled Lady GaGa!

Because her name was derived from Queen's song 'Radio Ga Ga' - [en.Wikipedia.org] , [www.Billboard.com] .

The horn players aren't listened either?

So cool to hear the moog bass by Stevie on this one. In the bridge and the breakdown section it really gives it something else. Could it be that it's just the Moog bass on the rest of the song also and neither Keith nor Andrew played electric bass?

As ludicrous as it is to say ( because this is a masterpiece ) i love this track but it would have been up there with Gimme Shelter had Mick been lower in the mix.
This isn't putting the Mick down but not everyone enjoys his vocals to the extent they tower over the song.

Less is more Mick, as in EOMS.
