I'd just listened to both versions, the edit and the long one.The longest one Indeed got my vote but the edit isn't Bad at all.I didn't expect such a master piece anymore, and I was wrong, hats off guys !!!
I hear some Exile spirit in it, and no offence to Lady Gaga who did a good job on it, the beloved Tina, would have
been great on it as well.
Congratulations, can't wait for the other tracks thumbs up

Hey Irix, do you like the song?

I have to listen to the entire album first.

You mean you won't listen to the singles before the whole album is out or that you don't have an opinion on the singles before the whole album is out?

I sure hope it's the former and not the latter.

maybe also a bit of inspiration :-)

But that is not any problem.

The song is very good, enjoy!

Yes, that was a good song (not as "grand" admittedly) and well produced too, but of course a Mick solo project so panned and derided by many here...

We don’t have a right to expect such a jaw-dropping song so late in the game. Truly a classic.

What SiriusXM channel is most likely to be playing this and Angry? I haven't heard that one anywhere yet.

Holy cow! That’s a lot better than I expected. Man if more of the album is like this it’s going to be epic. I’m tripping hot smiley

I know how you feel, it leaves me thinking why so long between anything remotely as good as this, wonder if addiction is a part of the missing jigsaw pieces, Keith was certainly turning the clock back in Berlin last year, now this album, makes me think of all the lost years of creativity.
Pleased to see Mick clearly over his writers block, he's been saving his best till last, man we picked the right band all those decades ago. smileys with beer

Angry has been on The Spectrum, Underground Garage, Classic Vinyl, and Classic Rewind. Not all that much lately, though. I would look for SSOH on The Spectrum.

Haven't read the whole thread yet so maybe it's been talking about already but to it reminds me a lot of Let it Loose from Exile which is one of my favourite Stones songs.

Played Sweet Sounds of Heaven many times now and absolutely love it!

Cheers,
Wuudy

Does anybody know if the single will be the full or the shorter version?

I really like so much about this that I hate to be the one to mention that they may need to give Otis Redding a co-writing credit (like with KD Lang and Anybody Seen My Baby)? Any thoughts? [www.youtube.com]

If they get Ed Sheeran as a lawyer, they’ll be OK.

Ok, 56 years old. Can't believe I am this excited about a new song. Last time I felt this way was Love Is Strong, and recency bias aside this is better. So happy the the album is a nice, clean 48 minutes. If these 2 tracks are any indication this is going to be one hell of an album.

Yes! Unfortunately he retired almost 10 years ago, likely thanks to the money he made on the 2013 and 2014 tours...plus some other financial arrangements possibly.

I am blown away by this track. It’s exquisite; to my ears it’s a descendant of Melody. Gospel and jazz have long been overlooked genres by the band and represent new areas of growth and exploration. Bring it! smoking smiley

What are you saying exactly.
Why should Jagger Richards give co-writing credit to Otis?

Stellar vocal from Mick (and beautifully supported by GaGa). If this really wasn't planned as a duet then it is a truly serendipitous bonus that she was in the studio. I love tis one.
