Keith also has one song on the album. Maybe it's the usual Jazz Ballad spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

Maybe not because he said it has a "good riff"

I may have misheard what was said at the press conference, but it sounded like all the tracks on the album are from late 2022 onward? How is that possible if Charlie's drumming is featured on a couple of the tracks?

The two tracks featuring Charlie were recorded in 2019.

They said the songs with Charlie were from 2019. Bill is on one of them.

I can't help but think: what would Charlie have said to this?

Probably the same thing he said twenty years ago about the topless anime girl with the Sprint symbol piercing the lapping tongue she rides. He loved it and thought it had meaning.

Two from 2019. The rest from Xmas 2022 to early this year. Fast work.

An account of the press conference up now at the Guardian website, I can't be arsed to link, even though it comes with some hilariously po-faced and very disapproving comments from below the line. You can't beat the readership of that paper for dour, judgemental miserablism....

Yeah that was a bit odd and Mick said something like "Oh it's not really true, I shouldn't say that" or something like that around that moment.

"The energy is often high, with one blisteringly paced rock’n’roll song "

I bet that's the groovy snippet from 2018 with Mick on harmonica, "Driving Too Hard", possibly ?

No Chuck, Darryl, Bernard or Don Was involved. Andrew Watt on Backing Vocals and Percussion. Mixed by Serban Ghenea (the world most desired and most expensive mixing engineer, mixing a large part of the major label pop music today)

No Chuck, but Matt.
Definitively a Jagger song.

Chuck is generally not invited to play on their studio albums, I guess they don't think he's very "creative", and for B&L he got all whiny about it and demanded to add some overdubs !

Did I already say I love the bass part and its fat sound ? ;-)

Say what? He had been on every album since 1983 with the exception of Bridges!

Didn’t know what to expect, wasn't sure about the first few comments on here, but it's great, love Mick and Keith's refusal to grow up and there is so much cool stuff of Mick and Keith, the video was obviously made by a true fan who put all the best footage he could to make the video.

I apologize for the question if it has been covered, but has anyone seen a list of musicians credited on this new album? Are Chuck and Darryl a part of it and the Stones other touring musicians?

Sorry if this has already been addressed but did we learn anything today from the various dates given about why the (we assume) tour announcement at the beginning of the year got cancelled at short notice?

Great, thanks IronBelly.

I'd be getting the Japanese edition anyway; obi strip, SHM..etc. The CD/BluRay has a 64 page book, maybe that issue also. The Vinyl - maybe that also lol The CD single, maybe.

Explaining the true meaning of Hackney Diamonds, Mick added: “It’s like when you get your windscreen broken on a Saturday night in Hackney. And all the bits go on the street. That’s Hackney Diamonds.”
