Supposedly they mean with "their fans" the ones we call "casual fans". As far as us "hardcore fans" go, they surely know that we are hopeless: we will be disappointed no matter what they do (since each of us has an ideal picture of what they should be and sound like - and they never do that). When in its time I obtained my vinyl copy of CROSSEYED HEART, I made myself listen to it twenty-five times, despite my somewhat reserved early impressions. That did not help much towards my tendency of being bored. What a relief it then was getting finished. So my hopes as to the coming album go in quite another direction than the quote.
Agree, they have a pretty decent track record!
AFAIK the last we heard from him in connection with Mick was when the SH FB page announced a new SH project for 2012 (or 2013) and then that post got pulled just as the Stones were getting rolling again...

To give some feedback to some input her in the last few pages: if HD is half as soulful and warm as Crosseyed heart and contains gems half the beauty of songs like How Can i Stop or Thief in the Night I will adore the album

I'm a Stones fan since 2006, I've been to the Bigger Bang and Sixty tours, and this will be the first time during my fandom an album of new original material will be released, so I'm excited.

There doesn't seem to be enough "buzz" about the new album. I think it's time for Keith to make another one of his carefully timed "controversial statements" to the press. You know, Sgt. Pepper is crap, snorted father's ashes, Mick has a little mick, etc. He's usually so good at getting publicity.

Wondering whatever happened to Dave Stewart as far as his collaborations with Mick...
He seems to have disappeared out of Mick's orbit sometime after the Alfie soundtrack and Superheavy.
Or was he also involved with Micks Getta Grip/England Lost songs? Anyhow, hope all is well with him.
