do all the double deckers in England now have that modern look to them?
Not sure about the whole of England, but the new London double-decker buses (New Routemaster) were produced 2011–2017 - [en.Wikipedia.org] .

One More Shot is certainly OK, but Doom & Gloom is terrific, in my opinion. At least, I thought it was upon release. This is the thing: ‘classic’ Stones, I’ll forever revisit, but anything later gets overlooked. I guess you can’t beat their prime. That’s what they’ll be remembered for. It’s the same with Blue & Lonesome. I listened to it repeatedly in the immediate period of its release, but have I heard it in recent years? Have I had a yearning to do so? Nope! Still, I’m excited for the new release. It’ll be in rotation for a month, before I put it to bed, ha-ha. Back to Let it Bleed, Exile and that plethora of live shows.

We gotta pick it up!
One of their users said he'd read somewhere that all the tracks on the new record were played by Charlie, but two.
Another user mentions a specific date for the announcement!

Loved D&G live in Nashville (2015).
If (a HUGE if) by some miracle, the new Stones album was as good as any of the Big 4 (or 5 or 6...), how would it sell? Would it be placed among the top Stones albums, or has the fan-base aged too much and how society currently digests music changed too much in the last 40+ years?

I think a few dates when the Hackney Empire is available were being thrown around.

Georgelicks has not posted anything about a September date in this thread.

I just hope Hackney Diamonds is like Some Girls - perceived at the time as a huge "comeback" with a lot of airtime, played in discos, and a great tour. And of course the songs are simply great.

I would guess that the idea of a September date for the/an announcement comes straight from the ad in the Hackney Gazette.

I bet announcement will be Wednesday 9/6 and maybe first single Friday 9/8.
