I think from their perspective, they didn't cancel a tour because they hadn't announced one. This was just inside beans spilled here. As for the NYC photo shoot video, it doesn't seem to me like Mick is limping (but then, I'm not a doctor), he just walks the characteristic way he always walks (at least, as far as I remember).
He did indeed, and added that it would take longer to heal because of his age.

There's still this sense of entitlement between the lines: If we don't get to see yet another tour, we are entitled to see them limping about on crutches. My opinion in hindsight is that their best point to quit touring would have been 2014. That was when a whole new generation of fans could experience the real thing. Much less of that during No Filter from what I saw. They can't really do anything for these people. Good health to everyone

There is no entitlement here. If you cancel a tour without giving specific information about it there will be speculation. Simple as that. You might find it wrong but there will be speculation anyway.
And no, you don't have to be a doctor to have an opinion about a video.

You always have new people coming into the scene. If they'd stopped touring in 2014 my daughter would only have seen them miles away from the stands, 4 years later I was able to take her in the pit for a whole other experience.
I'm still perplexed by that video of Mick limping around, first of all I'm sad to see him like that, on the other hand he doesn't seem to be in pain...and then you have these other videos where you see him moving around swiftly, the "dancing" one, doesn't mean much but there's also that other one for the premiere of the book I think. Was his leg just stiff from riding in the car ? Seems unlikely and the "knee knocking" is clearly there.

When the (unannounced) tour was canceled earlier this year, and we were all batting about potential reasons why, I seem to recall a poster with the name of "Mjagger2000" or the like appearing here. He very firmly and succinctly stated that no one was seriously ill but rather a member of the band injured.
