The sounds of Guns and Roses has been used by the military to disorient the enemy and psychologically wear them out.
Basically the loud and grotesque sound of G'N'R blaring full blast were a form of torture...cruel and unusual punishment. But it worked.

cheap thrills and mass entertainment, of course. But that's what GnR are about (plus great guitar playing by Slash). Springsteen used to be more than cheap thrills etc. (minus great guitar playing)…

I saw GnR in 92 and it was over then.

Axl’s raspy voice was a forced effect he put on his voice back then, it wasn’t a naturally raspy voice like say a Lemmy who’s singing voice was like that and stayed like that till the end. Axl I believe damaged his voice forcing that rasp over the years. They were 10-12 years late with the reunion and it’s time to pack it in.

Now would be a great time for an Izzy solo tour……

A truly fantastic five-star performance from Elton last night. Miss him at your peril if you are in Paris, Zurich, Copenhagen or Johanneshov over the next couple of weeks.

Is there any place for non UK citizens to watch these Glastonbury gigs (besides crappy cell phone youtube clips)?

Maybe take out a trial VPN subscription and cancel once you've watched?

After his performance, Elton was apparently whisked away in a golf buggy to a waiting helicopter and was back home in Windsor (more than 2.5 hours by road) in under 40 minutes!
