For anyone who wants to go to a festival but hates festival BS this is the one. First of all Bergen is an amazing and beautiful city and they do their festival in a 600 year old medieval fort. Sound was amazing, people are great and last night I got to see the Lumineers cover You Can't Always Get What You Want and meet them this morning in the hotel. Today is Built To Spill, First Aid Kit, Warpaint and Iggy Pop. Weather is perfect. I'll be back to this one.

Any details how to get to Bergen and dated of the festival?

It's this weekend and I flew in from a connection in Amsterdam. There are flights and trains into Bergen. Festival runs through Saturday but traveling south to Werchter for TW Classic with Bruce Springsteen tomorrow. I assume its a second weekend in June festival when the days are long and weather amazing.

Did you avoid rain? If so, you were very lucky

You may fly into Bergen directly, or you may fly into Oslo, then take the train to Bergen. The train ride across the mountains is unique in itself.

Might have to try that next year BV. Kudos to your country. Visited both places this year and I enjoyed the people, sights and food. I wish my country made visitors feel as welcome.
