I would agree with BFR as well. I too was at both shows.
The old dome does have a different feel.

The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis felt like an arena to me, especially when compared to Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, but I suppose by technical standards it is a stadium. Hard Rock was a theatre, a completely different type of venue, seating ~7,000.
St. Louis dome has 67.000 seats for NFL Games while Mercedes Benz Stadium got 71.000. that's not a big difference.
I know the seating capacity isn't much different, but I was at both shows and that's why I said "felt" like an arena because The Dome very much reminds me of the old NHL arenas and it felt dark inside while Mercedes-Benz has a huge multi-level concourse, is mostly windows on one side and has a retractable roof. It seemed like you walked right from the street level to the floor seats at The Dome. You have to wind down to a sub-terranean level to get to the floor of M-B.
We're getting bogged down here in arguable details
I have to agree with BFR on this one. I'm from Michigan & St Louis "felt" like an arena where Mercedes Benz actually felt like a stadium. I know exactly where BFR was comimg from. -
Agree, St Louis definitely had an arena feel.
What a show too..

Sorry. I thought that was out of character for you. My apologies!

It's funny when you stop to think and put it in context. It really is astounding. How many marriages last 60 years? Friendships? Considering where the relationship was with Mick and Keith in the late 70s thru the late 80s who could have imagined? And outside of that think about the people in your lives that are in their age bracket. Can you possibly imagine any of them doing what these guys are doing? I know there are examples of musicians performing in their 80s (Buddy Guy, Chuck Berry Jerry Lee Lewis, etc) but with the exception of McCartney none of them do it on this scale. I remember thinking in 97/98 This has to be it. And here they are. Yes minus the irreplaceable Charlie but still standing, still delivering. There will never be anyone compatible. I hope they go as long as they want and are able.

Hey, guys! St. Louis was a wonderful experience. Whether it happened at a stadium or an arena is up for debate I guess, but the show was one we'll never forget Hopefully we will get another chance to meet up in 2023

Sorry.
There's only one "The Dome" and it's the Superdome.
As in the Louisiana Superdome. In New Orleans.
Whatever the name is with it has zero meaning - similar to Pine Knob or the Sears Tower.

OK.
For the record, to my knowledge, anywhere in the Deep South and below the Deep South, when people say "the Dome" they know what it means. Because there is only one "the Dome".
It's in New Orleans!
