The Man behind Rockpassion is hard working, fair and friendly. For less than the cost of one boot on CDR he has presented us with a treasure chest of gems.

That is very true! He is a great guy. I have not paid yet the twenty bucks and had been trying to get my computer ready to download .flac files but with no luck.

If ever something is worth 20 Euros a year - it's JP's site.Payed yesterday and some minutes later I've downloaded so much fantastic stuff.I've paid a horrible amount of money in the past 30 years for bootleg stuff and I will never do it again!!!!!!
Rock on JP...........fantastique!!!!!!!

thanks guys for your kind words.
May I ask you for those who have downloaded the Hollywood show of nov the 6th, what you think of this version ? it's the one taken from DAD taped with a LR400.
it's close to soundboard..I have reduced the noise ..the weak point is that the sound level is a bit low.

Paying for bootlegs is wrong in my opinion.

The way I see it we aren't paying him for anything, just helping to cover his costs. No different to exchanging blank disks and covering postage for bootlegs, or do you think he should be out of pocket for sharing this stuff?

"I think he will get post of the Stones lawyer sooner or later"
Listen, The Stones should be glad to have an site like this spreading their music like Rockpassion does.J-P Doesnt do this thinking on profit, I know by myself , I had one or two problems with some videos. and he without asking anything generously give it to me, The BB tree with the show from Boston is another good example of an dedicated fan that he his.If any Stones Lawyer will do anythig against him or rockpassion . i will testify in court on J-P behalf, because he´s here for the love of it, not the money....Like BV....Its only rock n roll but we Love It

From a fan's perspective, they should be happy, but they are not. Otherwise they would allow people to tape their shows like some other bands do (Grateful Dead, Phish for example). And if they want their music spreaded they would do it themselves - like some other artists and bands do with "official bootleg releases" like The Doors, Dylan, Pearl Jam, Allman Brothers, just to name a few. They might tolerate free trades inside a small circle of hardcore fans up to a certain point, but I highly doubt they accept this as soon as money gets involved. The Stones are no unknown band that usually welcomes any spreading of their music! And, given that at least Jagger is really the control freak he is supposed to be, even this kind of uncontrolled spreading. The Stones are effectively a huge corporation, and like any other huge corporations, only too willing to protect their copyrights.

Has he added a lot of new titles?
Are they still mostly on MP3?

I agree with Riffbuk. I salute J-P for what he is doing. 20 Euros is a small donation to help with his cost. Some of you remind me of what my Peacher said happens when the church asks for money.....you start to lose members.I'm not trying to bring religion into this as i'm not the most pious among us...just thought the quote fit. Keep up the good work J-P! Oh By the way, as I mention yesterday on my post check out Pete Townshend web-site. Seems he is going to help out the WHO fans with WHO tv and other sites with boot DVDs and BitTorrents. Now if the Stones and J-P would collaborate....wishful thinking. Again thanks to Stonesfan for the great job. Also, Kudos to Drake for his good work and his good nature for sharing his work with us.

Yes, I along with Davido want to know whether JP has added a significant number of shows to his website(the Bowl shows are new). I was hoping to get the Colombus and San Diego shows. Anybody know? I am just curious. Perhaps JP could post Dallas 31-10-81 and 1-11-81 as well (fingers crossed!)
