Decent read about Charlie and his life. Lots of interesting tidbits, and numerous colorful anecdotes dot this history of the much beloved "Wembley Whammer". For serious Stones fans it's certainly worth reading.

Just started reading this myself. I'm thru the first 2 chapters. So far it's been pretty interesting. I look forward to reading the rest.

Pretty good but a few myths blown.

Like Charlie had to be talked into going on tour. Talked into it by who, his credit card company?

It's been an interesting read so far. I can't really say that I've learned a whole lot from it that I didn't already know. To me, I find it to be more of a capturing of other's opinions and stories related to Charlie and less about an actual biography. I find a lot of details to be lacking or something. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I own it, as I have Ronnie's, Keef's, and some of Bill's Stones-related books, but IDK for me so far it's just kinda IDK really how to describe it. Some of the little tales are interesting for sure. The one thing I did learn last night was that Brians Jajuka (think I have that right) played on Continental Drift. Didn't know that prior.

I found this interview while looking into Brian's daughter, Barbara Anna. I'd not seen it before and I had to laugh when Charlie talks about Mick getting pissed at him for how long it takes Charlie to provide Mick with a response to a design question. My apologies if posted before.

Tx for posting this interview. Loving it

A Christmas present, and it was an excellent read. As said previously, not a lot of new info, but this man was loved by many people. Speaking as a grandpa, it's really cool that he took his granddaughter on tour with him the last few trips.

Just finished and quite enjoyed. I kept hearing there wasn't much new info on Mr. Watts, but for me it was a revelation in a new way: definitely revealed Charlie in a light outside of the Stones.. When it did speak of the side of Charlie we've all heard about it was occasionally repetitive as everyone told similar stories, but still I found it a great read. I especially loved reading about his granddaughter's involvement in his life.

The photo in the book of him at Hitsville in Detroit was taken the day I was there (the only Stone I've ever ran into) which was cool for me to see. The attached video clip below is also from Detroit with Tim Ries and band before the Stones show in 2015.
