I was just listening to this track, and I was wondering if anyone happened to know about whom Mick might be singing??

He seems to be singing about himself, his life with and about Jerry.
"I was born way to soon."
If it isn't about Jerry it's about who?
"I saw it all. I saw it from afar. I saw it in the stars."

No idea.
But thanks for bringing it up, since never heard the track before.
From first listening sounds like Lennon's Xmas song meets Dylan's "Series of Dreams" meets "Blinded By Love", haha.. A nice little song, although I am not the biggest fan of Jagger's GODDESS era singing and the melody sounds a bit crafted. Bonus track? Some single B-side, Japanese extra or what?

I don't see the Jerry connection, as they aren't that far off, age-wise. If he was born too soon, that means he's older than the muse.....

Yes, but why would he regret that. I think it's someone with whom there is a much larger age gap. Besides him and Jerry were together for a long, long time. Perhaps the muse couldn't handle the gap?

Clearly no one recalls the gutter press in the era. All of the songs are for Sophie Dahl.
No, I don't really believe that. I don't think Mick wears his heart on his sleeve, generally speaking.
