60 € is not a lot of money. It's by far the cheapest you could spend and end up with the most expensive ones which cost almost 10 times as much. Obviously, ideally you should get the ticket in time, but the rain situation most likely screwed everything up. There was even talks of the possibility that the show wouldn't happen due to weather. It was not the normal situation.
It’s a lot of money if you book flights and hotels to be at a show and get in well after it starts. Not to mention the stress, and apparent lack of action or apology from the venue. I’d be grouchy as hell.
For sure. But attending concerts for which you have to fly to and book a hotel is on you. That's not the responsibility of the promoter.
So they don't mind having a reputation of giving the audience a poor experience, as the flight & hotel is 'on them'? What does that have to do with it?
Nothing. That's why the argument, it's a lot of money if you book flights and hotels, is ridiculous. It has nothing to do with the gamble you took on buying a, compared to what you get and what others paid, dirt cheap ticket.
What the devil are you talking about? You're not 'gambling' that you'll miss part of the show due to ineptitude as part of the arrangement. People buying LD's are willing to gamble poor seats, that's built in. Not missing the show or being treated shabbily.
You sound vaguely annoyed that people doing the LD route are being economical and sometimes get rewarded. You like anyone else can go that route.
But poor execution at this stage of the game, after doing LD's for a decade isn't acceptable.

One day til Liverpool and we've still absolutely no idea where we're supposed to pick up our lucky dips
Having never had them before, is it just a case of walking around the stadium looking out for a special sign or will it be the box office ?
Any tips appreciated

The only reasonable answers I had: 1.) Total misorganisation or 2.) the real danger of cancellation

They opened another window but that only happened after 8 PM. Way too late.

They also closed it when the concert started, despite there still being a long queue. Luckily, the people in the original queue were relaxed about letting people from the closed counter line slot in.

Read the @#$%& post and you see what I'm talking about. I never said you gamble on missing part of the show. You gamble to get great seats, at a very reduced price. You're not buying a VIP service. Things went bad in Munich, for whatever reasons, with the rain delay being one of them. Shit happens. 2bad and better luck next time, when a different company handles the local distribution of the tickets.

I don't why you feel the need to be an apologist for the poor execution, but I guess you started and are just doubling down. Anyway, it shouldn't go down like it did...had nothing to do with weather, gimme a break. And as for VIP service, no one said anything about VIP service.
"I bought a ticket, gimme the ticket before the show starts." Perhaps wherever your from, that's VIP service? Doesn't sound like VIP. Stop apologizing.

We'll for us section M9 lucky dippers, not do bad after all. Free food and 1st drink free. All good! Only got £30 for my weaker dips (in the Kop) after some aggressive bargaining by some locals. Still, for a net cost of £50, can't complain Most of my section is dippers, all getting free nosh

BOOM!
Turned up at the collection window to a fairly small queue at about 6pm ish, and shuffled nervously to the front
There were four of us, with two pairs of dips and when we got to the counter i said to the woman behind 'can you do four together?' cheekily, and 'please make them good ones'
She took our ID and handed us two envelopes. We were about to walk away with them when she said 'why don't you open them?'
So, i opened my two first and saw the words Diamond Pit B and in all honesty it must've took a few seconds to register before i broke out into a beaming smile
Then my friend opened her envelope ... Diamond Pit A
We couldn't believe it and had a big group hg right there and then
I don't now who the lovely woman behind the counter was, but i'm absolutely sure she knew they were pit tickets and she clearly got a kick from seeing our reaction to them
Thank you sweetheart x
