Looks like I posted "fake news" earlier re: which show it's going to be. It's the January 18th show after all. A friend says he's seen the setlist which is from the 18th.
This also matches the teaser video with Keith sans jacket.
My apologies!
So wait, sorry - is this not the show from Four FLicks then?
It is the HBO broadcast/Four Flicks show
That would be nice and I would gladly welcome it (more like wishful thinking )Quote

Thank you. Hopefully there will be a box set with a bonus show.

To celebrate their 40th anniversary in 2002, the Rolling Stones embarked on a two-year world tour, performing 117 concerts in a wide variety of venues and stadiums across North America, Europe, Australia and Asia. ''Licked Live In NYC'' is dedicated to the January 18, 2003 show at Madison Square Garden in New York, where Sheryl Crow was a guest on "Honkey Tonk Women". Released incomplete at the time in the 'Four Flicks' box set, this concert has been remixed, remastered, and contains four unreleased tracks "Start Me Up", "Tumbling Dice", "Gimme Shelter" and "Sympathy For The Devil", plus three bonus tracks in Amsterdam and rehearsal footage.
I really hope for Saint of me, Star Star and I just wanna make love to you as bonustracks from Amsterdam. Those songs were for me the highlight of the show and aren't played in NYC

Why another re-issue…. There is more of the 2003 tour! Why not Cirkus Krone 2003, was also professional filmed!
No just a cheap re-issue, making money of the same idiots who will buy this anyway…..
Among them probably me!!
More of the licks tour to come, don't worry
I dream of a DVD from Paris, Bercy 2003...
Now that would be special...
Why do you think it's either a new album OR some re-release? I sure would like to hear new material as well but it's not like those re-releases are the reason we are not getting a new album. And if they got the new stuff finished and ready to release they sure wouldn't hold it back because of some re-release.Quote

New Album?
Nah.. let’s just repackage and recycle the older stuff again. Remix it (though a good proportion of us couldn’t tell the difference I’d hazard a guess) and our fans will lap it up…again.
…and again.
When will this endless money grab end?
Yeah I know .. “if you don’t want it, don’t buy it“, but honestly, does anyone want this more than NEW material? Own up.
Not me.

Here's a nice 'wishful thinking' thought.
For the last few years now we have generally had a release in the Summer and a release nearer Christmas. Perhaps El Mocambo and NYC were this years' planned Summer and Christmas releases, but now they have decided to rush them both through in the Summer because they suddenly have something else they are expecting to release for the Christmas market... *ahem*

I'd rather say it's just another attempt to cash in connection with the band's 60th anniversary
How is it Mick can release a solo Mick tune , but no new Stones tune ? What am I missing besides the obvious ?Quote
