Voting was better in the 1990's. The anticipation, the idealism, the sense of purpose. Canvassing your friends persuading them with the merits and getting them to vote for your candidate as well. The chance that your choice might win with the possibility life may improve, even if only for a little while.

Now it's just a drag, a disappointment, a pointless exercise where you know it's already rigged against you and the actual outcome itself doesn't really matter.

Of course I am talking about the Rolling Stones song vote.

Sweet Virginia's a personal favorite. The tour it was being (I think) debuted, July 5, 1972 Mick told us they wrote it especially for us.*

But they played it a few times in 2019.

Worried About You needs a go.

It's sounding very much like this is going to be played in Detroit, as a duet with the 1st guest performer of the tour. So they wouldn't make that contingent on voting.

DC 2019, a lot of us were, oh, 80% sure Don Covay's Mercy Mercy was coming. I'd say Dancin' In The Street is even more likely than that.

I think that they skipped over "Play With Fire" in Detroit on the 1989 tour.

In favor of "Angie" one night and "Almost Hear You Sigh" the other night.

So,I voted for "Play With Fire" but,"Worried About You" would be another good choice.

It's strange that they have a newly re-issued 'Tattoo You' and are touring but have only performed 1 of its songs over the course of the entire tour.

Just as it was strange that the North Carolina 2005 concert had more Sticky Fingers songs than any Zip Code tour stadium concert.

I could use other adjectives in place of "strange".

Keep in mind Fool To Cry in Minneapolis was not a song-vote number, so it's great that they will throw somethin' in there on their own...

harlem shuffle was in the song votes a couple times in 2019 and was never chosen then they just played it in new jersey

hope they do something like that with the vote songs with no chance of winning like worried about you, neighbors, and no expectations

After watching the YT clip I dug up the Four Flicks DVD of that concert and watched other parts. Truly an amazing show and a dream setlist for us lucky hardcore fans in the audience.

The only song that will sound good is Wild Horses with Keith on the 10-string, Keith can't play "Play with fire" and "Sweet Virginia" properly anymore. And Ronnie can't play the solo on "Worried about you".

Based on my experience on this tour so far, I will vote for "Worried About You" (as I often do) and the band will play "Play with Fire"... it seems the 60s chestnuts are winning all the votes. At least the Sixties stuff sounds good.
