In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterfly used to make me cringe. I have not heard it on radio in years. I guess it got weeded out. But it used to be on rock radio all the time. Perhaps so the DJ could wander off to take a piss or go make it with his girlfriend.
I see on YouTube it is 17 minutes long. It was tortuous, it was awful. You turned the radio dial off or to another station, or you died. I knew a guy who was a fan of it. I never argued with him, I just laughed inside.

No sitting down on your butt
The world don't owe you
No sitting down in a rut
I wanna show you
Don't waste your energy
On making enemies
Just take a deep breath
And work your way up
Let's work, be proud
Stand tall, touch the clouds
Man and woman, be free
Let's work, kill poverty
La, la, la
Work your way up
Let's work, be proud
Stand tall, touch the clouds
Man and woman, be free
Let's work, kill poverty
You're sitting down on your butt
And your get greedy
You start to lose your nuts
Don't you look seedy
Can generosity bring you humility
So take a deep breath
Ain't gonna sweat for you
Ain't gonna sigh for you
Ain't gonna cry for you
If you're lazy
Ain't gonna slave for you
Ain't gonna hurt for you
It just won't work for you
If you're lazy
Let's work, be proud
Stand tall, touch the clouds
Let's work, let's eat
Let's live in ecstasy
Man and woman, be free
Let's work, kill poverty
Let's work, be proud
Stand tall, touch the clouds
Man and woman, be free
Let's work, let's work
Get down in the dirt and let's work
Get down in the dirt and let's work
Get up, be free
Get down in the dirt, let's work
Get down in the dirt, let's work
Get down in the dirt
Take off your shirt
Get down in the dirt
Let's work

Led Zeppelin - Hot Dog
I actually like Hot Dog! I like a lot of the songs off In Through The Out Door, many cowritten by JP Jones. I think Fool In The Rain has the most distinctive Bonham drum beat.

Because English is not my native language blinded by the light does not make me cringe. In English it just sounds cool, is not so very in your face stupid. Technically speaking i understand but it's all a little more distant.
As a consequence i have little music in my collection in my native language. Because in dutch many songs do make me cringe.
I never understood why native English speakers don't have a problem with all those ridiculous lyrics. If it's your native language then one must immediately recognize many of those songs have idiotic lyrics.

Which Blinded By The Light did you have in mind - Springsteen? Manfred Mann?

They kept this: "little early pearly came by in his curly wirly and asked me if I needed a ride"
Same lyrics. Always liked Springteen's version, the song grooves....
Manfred Mann changed the lyrics.
