You recall correctly. It's usually preceded by a 2 or 3 week campaign of bill posters and ads on the side of buses in the venue cities subtly alluding to a forthcoming gig, along with hints on the Stones'social media. No talk of that so far though no doubt it will come.
can't remember when the ad campaign started but I think it was relatively early. Tickets for London (May 22 +25 ) went on sale on March 2nd. At least that's the date when I bought LD tickets.

I will lucky dip all U.K. shows they are available for, as I did last time. Not sure I’ll venture any further though. Paris maybe and Poland if they play there. The loss of Charlie has taken away a lot of the magic for me

You need some time to run the ticket sales etc., but make an announcing too early increases the risk of having to cancel or postpone the whole thing

But seriously: The 'NoFilter' tour never came to a city twice (at least not on different legs of the tour). But if London is included in the forthcoming leg of the tour (and there seems to be no doubt that they'll do London (if there is a tour))…
No Filter tour has hit Miami now twice (2019 & 2021) as well as LA.
Technically Hollywood & Pasadena I guess.. but essentially Miami & LA.

Probably no new Album in June since we'll get "Licked Live In NYC" - [iorr.org] - which was PG-rated by German FSK on 24-Jan-2022 with usual release date 3-5 month later. So rather this DVD/BR in Summer plus the 2022 Tour.

Would have to imagine a March announcement for a tour starting in June.
The 2018 European tour, which started in late May, was announced in late February as I recall.

By the way, still hearing Royal Albert Hall is on.

Looked it up, and the first "No Stopping" teasers seem to have appeared in Edinburgh (Leith Walk), Berlin, Dublin etc. on February 20th / February 21st, 2018. [iorr.org]

Hope we get some real news soon. Have 210,000 frequent flier miles tied up on 3 plane reservations and need to purchase tickets to other shows to work around the schedule. They need to sell tickets too.
