Has anyone heard it? Thoughts how it sounded live? My big question is does someone have an MP3 of it or does anyone know it on boot?? If so would someone please put up on usendit. Thanks MEZ (see no rating or song battle this time I can't become one dimnensional or predictable.
it was not great...a noble effort and one that was only tried one more time on the tour. Ronnie started on pedal steel and then shifted to slide...I thought that was pretty cool. Truth be told, the Crowes play it better....
Keith played electric guitar on that one... just like he did with No Expectations during that tour. That was in my opinion a mistake. Originally both songs are with acoustic rhythm guitars.
Loving Cup also: Keith didn't play his original rhythm part during Licks Tour like in the original. I missed that part a lot. He just improvised a lot, but did not play any rhythm on that song live.

I have it on DVD and I think it's a great show! Keith starts off a bit rough and Jagger gives him an icy stare for totallly cocking up the opening vocal! I'm sure you'll find it somewhere on the net if not we can do a swap or something!
correct - not great throughout their career. Basically, the band would have to think some songs are just too hard to play live...they tried the song in '72, but even with their great band they still couldn't pull it off....a song that should be left for the studio, or a lazy acoustic guitar session ....
