Wyman SANG!

Bill Wyman celebrated his 69th birthday in Oslo last night. (oct 24th). Great Concert, (including Eddie Floyd!) and good birthdayparty. Bill had brought his wife and daughters to Oslo. The band had arranged for the girls to come on stage and say HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DADDY. However, two of them were too shy. But the lovely, blonde curlyhaired angel that did come on stage, was absolutely gorgeous. The Audience sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY twice, before Bill had the chance to say "hi", when he appeared on stage, and Bill Sang TWO SONGS, "C'est la vie" being one of them. The other one I forgot. He actually sings quite well, but not as well as Beverly and Mr. Floyd... Great concert, though!

Glad you had a great concert !!!
smiling smiley

"C'est la vie" is Chuck Berry's "You Never Can Tell".
It's the song he usually sings on stage, but the 2nd would be interesting to identify.

Saw him at Frankfurt in October. It was a great relaxed performance of the whole band!
Hope to see them again .....

It's not a strange thing. I think he sings two songs every show. Usually You Never Can Tell and All Night Long.

It was a very nice concert. I've seen all three shows in Oslo the last nine years and this one was the best one I think.

I'm tellin' ya guys, Bill should rejoin the Stones and bump Keith out of his 2 song slot! We could hear In Another Land for the first time ever! That would give us all a new set list to cheer about!smiling smiley

It sounded really awful those two vocal numbers of ´im, believe me.
I´ll take Keith any day.
He´s a good band leader, a real star, a arrangeeer; a Musician,
a Archaeologist, a Lady´s man etc etc etc.
But he sure can´t sing.
I like In Another Land, but that was 38 years ago.

When I interviewed him recently I was talkin bout The London Sessions.
He made some remark that was a long ago too.

In Uppsala last night, Bill said "this [singing] is not my cup of tea". And he was right smiling smiley Very enjoyable show, though. Katalin (www.katalin.com) is a very small and comfortable venue for such a concert.
