4 of the GHS-Outtakes:

"The sessions for Goats Head Soup were abundant with outtakes. Two of these - 'Tops' and 'Waiting on a Friend' - would surface on Tattoo You in 1981, and feature Mick Taylor on guitar; 'Through the Lonely Nights' became the B-side to the 'It's Only Rock 'n Roll (But I Like It)' single and was released on CD for the first time on the 2005 compilation Rarities 1971–2003. It is a soft rock ballad that features Richards on wah wah/leslie speaker filtered guitar with Mick Taylor playing a brief solo. In addition, 'Short and Curlies' was started at the Goats Head Soup sessions and ended up appearing on the It's Only Rock 'n' Roll LP." -- [en.Wikipedia.org]

If that's the case, hopefully this tour will focus on the songs of that album - how great to hear Winter and Silver Train live!!!

The wealth of outtakes could indeed make this one quite interesting.

I hope they'll include "Windmill" which is a fav of mine. Another lesson in open G that doesn't quite "make it" but is super-nice anyway.

One should keep in mind that Brussels Affair 1973 (2CD) was re-issued two times in vanishing quantities as a part of the box and as Japanese Ward Records bonus to Marquee 1971. This one is the easiest choice because they do not need to do extra work. Everything is ready. No need to mess with outtakes. As far as I remember original GHS suppose to come as half studio / half live album. So they can present it this way.

Yes, the film with "Criss Cross" was exist.
The original title was "Metamorphoses", not "Metamorphosis".
I got confirmation from Sanrio Japan that "Criss Cross" was used during this movie.
However, "Metamorphoses" was changed its title as "Winds of Change" later and all music songs used in the movie were completely changed to others.
So we can't hear it now in the movie or DVD.

That’s a good point. They may just include all the Brussels stuff.

It was It's Only Rock'n'Roll that was supposed to be live+studio album.

Same for me.

But Scarlet wasn't a "Goats Head Soup" outtake.

According to Keith :

STORY 1 - french magazine Rock & Folk January 1975 - Keith interview by Daniel Vermeille at Keith's home Switzerland fall 1974
Keith says : recorded in Ronnie Wood's studio, the Wick, Richmond
piano : STU - bass : Rick Grech - Guitar : Jimmy Page - Ronnie Wood not present

STORY 2 - french magazine Rock & Folk March 1975 - Keith interview by Daniel Vermeille in Munich december 1974
Keith says : written by Mick in March 1974
bass : Rick Grech - Guitars : Keith & Jimmy Page - Ronnie Wood not present

I would cry myself to sleep if they actually just dump Brussels into this package. I really hope they put more effort in this, and at least release something from the London shows. Would be really fun if they included something that we don't already have on bootleg...

But Scarlet wasn't a "Goats Head Soup" outtake.

Right. Have a look at the Deluxe Editions of EXILE and SOME GIRLS to see how they handle that issue.

There was an unconfirmed rumor (which could just be speculation) that "Scarlet" evolved into "Following the River." If that's the case, they certainly didn't use the version with Jimmy Page as the backing track to build upon. Allegedly (again, not verified) some of "Following the River" (whether it was ever related to "Scarlet" or not) has Matt Clifford on piano.

From about five years ago, there was (as always, unconfirmed) a list of six previously unreleased tracks earmarked for GOATS HEAD SOUP Deluxe and "Scarlet" was one of them so who knows.
