much to my surprise there's no recording from one of the German shows (Germy is one of the biggest markets for pop music). Still: 4 out of 10 live tracks are from shows I've been to (Arnhem, Paris, London I+II)

I just view it as a distraction, and time delay, until we get more vault releases.

Amazon UK are currently listing the vinyl edition of this at £31.99 with free delivery in the UK. It also lists it as having 3 discs, so this may one of Amazon's usual cock-ups, but may be worth pre-ordering at this price? You can always cancel later...

This compilation will sell great during the US tour, with so many versions and the merch bundle it will chart inside the US Top 40-50 during 10 weeks at least.

What a better way to sell product nowadays than release a greatest hits in 6 different versions and make a bundle with the merch?

The duet with Ed Sheeran will get strong streaming numbers too, I bet for a single release of that just the same day of the album release date, it will get big streamimg numbers during the first week.

I do remember the days when they recorded a new album (with fresh material) almost every year (up until 1983). And then often toured on those albums.
Back then they were very frugal with live albums and compilations though. Only two during the seventies for example. Nowadays it's the other way around.
Seven (I'm winging it) live albums and two compilations every year but no new albums in sight whatsoever...

they wont do another studio album, after the one thats planned, and talked about often.

they will however release a lot more compilations and live albums. pity they dont open the vaults and i dont mean more live stuff, theres plenty outtakes in there due for official releases.

I tried. I tried thru Spotify to listen new old ‘Wild Horses’
OMG that song is so depressing. Lord. No can do LOL

He also said during the St. Louis PPV show they were playing Wild Horses for the first time.

I did see an interview with him once where he said he couldn't keep track of what songs are on what albums, said you record a bunch of them, some make the album, then a tour while working on the next album with some leftover songs...sorta makes sense.

That's just wrong. I've compared the whole thing today because I feared overdubs and there are absolutely NO guitar overdubs on this song. Some real minor edits where they maybe slipped off a string or picked a wrong note (like in the intro, where they obviously did a quick copy-paste fix) but no overdubs. You can compare it note after note. I did it. Ronnie and Keith played great here, no reason to knock them down.
Mick has some minor overdubs (or copied from another concert) and his voice has a bit of pitch correction on it, but nothing spectacular.

what happened to the live tracks with Bill and Mick Taylor, didn't bruce sprngsteen do tumbling dice at least three times, also guest spots from Clapton and John Foggerty??

What a strange product. They should have put out a post '71 Greatest Hits package with VIDEOS, and then add the live cuts as VIDEOS. I'll just check each cut on YouTube and see if one or two are worth buying.
