Have you ever lent somebody $20 and never seen them again? It was probably worth it.

I put the tour into an Excel sheet, listing each song played chronologically by its release date and keep track, of when it was first played, last played and how many times it has been played. I did this for the Licks tour as well. It makes the tour more fun for me keeping track of the songs that I can hope to hear at my shows and keeping track of how many of the total songs played that I got. Off hand, I know I have seen the Stones play 95 different songs since 1981. The morning after each show, I look at the setlist here on iorr.org and update it.

They have played a total of 38 different songs, with Sticky Fingers having had the most songs played from it with 5.

Song title, 1st time played, last time played, # of times played, songs played at press conference have a 1 after times played

(I Can't Go No) Satisfaction 21-Aug 1-Oct 16
Get Off Of My Cloud 28-Sep 1-Oct 2
19th Nervous Breakdown 10-Aug 13-Sep 2
Paint It Black 3-Sep 1-Oct 6
Ruby Tuesday 26-Aug 26-Sep 5
Jumpin' Jack Flash 10-Aug 1-Oct 17
Sympathy For The Devil 21-Aug 1-Oct 16
Honky Tonk Women 21-Aug 1-Oct 16
Live With Me 10-Aug 17-Sep 3
Midnight Rambler 3-Sep 1-Oct 3
You Can't Always Get What You Want 21-Aug 1-Oct 16
Brown Sugar 10-Aug 1-Oct 17 1
Sway 24-Sep 24-Sep 1
Wild Horses 28-Sep 28-Sep 1
Bitch 23-Aug 26-Sep 4
Dead Flowers 10-Aug 26-Sep 2
Rocks Off 6-Sep 28-Sep 2
Tumbling Dice 10-Aug 1-Oct 16
All Down The Line 26-Aug 1-Oct 6
Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker) 21-Aug 15-Sep 2
Ain't Too Proud To Beg 10-Aug 31-Aug 2
It's Only Rock 'N' Roll (But I Like It) 21-Aug 1-Oct 16
Miss You 21-Aug 1-Oct 16
Beast Of Burden 21-Aug 6-Sep 5
Shattered 21-Aug 24-Sep 7
She's So Cold 10-Aug 1-Oct 16
Start Me Up 21-Aug 1-Oct 16 1
Waiting On A Friend 8-Sep 8-Sep 1
You Got Me Rocking 21-Aug 28-Sep 14
The Worst 21-Aug 1-Oct 16
Out Of Control 21-Aug 26-Sep 8
Rough Justice 10-Aug 1-Oct 17
Back Of My Hand 10-Aug 1-Oct 10
Oh No Not You Again 10-Aug 1-Oct 17 1
Infamy 10-Aug 1-Oct 17
Get Up Stand Up 10-Aug 13-Sep 3
Mr. Pitiful 10-Aug 24-Sep 2
The Night Time Is The Right Time 21-Aug 1-Oct 13

That's copied from my Excel, though it did not keep the columns correct and I noticed that I have not updated it to include Washington yet. Three songs were played at the press conference, so I added an extra "1" after them.

T&A is willing to bet anyone that the Stones won't get to 40 songs by year's end (2005). And he's offering two-to-one odds.

Any other takers? smiling smiley

They are up to 39 songs now, with the tour premiere of Sweet Virginia last night. I think one of the new songs that they have been playing at soundcheck will make it into the set by the second show in Philadelphia.
