anything you are hearing about how easy it is to get there via train be warned! It was a disaster when they played Prudential. Friends of mine stuck on a train for hours. There is NO direct train from NYC!

for football games each week it is utter chaos. After all these years the MTA cannot get their act together. Do NOT take the train even 90 minutes before the show, Yes it should take about 15 - 20 minutes but it wont.

The bus is a crapshoot as well. One flat tire or accident on the Turnpike can cause a huge bladder-bursting delay.

the meadowlands is terrible getting into and out of for a show!

I wish they had chosen some other venue, citfield is 44,000 - close to the size of Foxboro on the tour page here - and Yankee stadium is about 55,000. both are easily accessible by car, train or subway. why do they always choose the meadowlands for their "NYC" stadium shows? I haven't missed a tour since my first show in '81, but this time i'll wait it out. There will be seats close to game time, and they'll be under face value!

Thats why im waiting it out...there will be cheap seats available for sure.
i logged in today just to see what the prices were and the nosebleeds at 70 bucks; i think lucky dip is the way to go if you want to buy right away.

I got a PIT ticket in the presale for the standard price 499 excl fees, that was a lucky shot. Anyone else managed to get a PIT ticket for that price for the NJ shows?

I did, yeah. Pit 1 for the first show.

I did as well. Was planning on buying PIT 2 tickets but when I noticed two PIT 1 tickets being on sale I grabbed them anyway.

Never been on Ronnie's side in the PIT. Did you have a preference?

Not really a preference. Although I must say I have slightly better experience with 'Ronnies side'. But it doesn't really matter.
I need one PIT1 ticket, so if anyone notices more pit's come available, please let me know on this topic!

You are the rare ones to get PIT NY/NJ for face especially if you bought a Pair or 4 . . . singles may pop once & a while for a fair price . . . all my NY friends paid over $1k for Pits in NY/NJ

NJ 1 will be my second Rolling Stones show! Saw them for the first time in Cardiff in June. Amazing show. Can't wait to do it all over again.

Got lucky dip for NJ 1. Aiming for a Pit ticket for NJ 2. Hopefully some will pop up at face value as we get closer to the dates. Only the VIP packages are showing up now.

I will travel from Europe (Amsterdam) to see both shows in New Jersey. Does anyone have some advices in which neigbourhood I can book a hotel. I want to stay in New York for one week, of course I will do some sight seeing in the city.

It COMPLETELY depends on your BUDGET.

Other than seeing the concert, EVERYTHING that you can imagine wanting to see and do is in New York, NY...
Not in East Rutherford, NJ or Secaucus, NJ!

As mentioned, budget is a key factor, especially for a week.
Based solely on neighborhood though, I like the Upper West Side.
Walk to Central Park and museums, easy subway or walk to midtown etc., a great neighborhood!

It doesn't REALLY matter where you stay in Manhattan.

The subway system is amazing and goes everywhere you want/need.

Besides, June is a great month to walk and walk and walk (if you want to stay above ground).

if you are staying in Manhattan, I would base my purchase on PRICE and just use the subway or walk....

try to get a hostel, if you are on a budget.
