Wouldn't be that surprising, easier for Mick to go out and rake it in NYC than a poke in the eye or even worse sitting down with Keith to write songs for a new album ;-)

I was driving and flipping. It was about 7 p.m., after playing Start Me Up on 107ish fm.

I feel like it was very a likely a joke.

It takes nine months to make a human person, the regular way. And it do take a certain amount of time to make a Stones tour. I will expect there will be weekly rumours about shows and tours in many cities in USA from now on and until the real tour is happening eventually.

Bjornulf

true – but it's Bob Dylan who's doing seven shows in NYC this fall

At the Beacon. I had to look it up, as I couldn’t believe a residence in a large venue (or anybody standing up)

Nassau would be a dream...could take the ferry from CT and be there in a breeze. I have serious doubts about these rumors though.

Schmatta, schmatta, schmatta, I can't give it away on 7th Avenue.

Look forward to an official announcement. This radio hearsay is probably just some over-caffeinated DJ babble.

I'm from the NY area and unfortunately we're some of the most spoiled bunch you can find. It helps that NY is a "capital of the world" so its also easy to see why people come, from a financial perspective and publicity standpoint. But its an embarrassment of riches what NY already gets and then New Yorkers always have the attitude that they deserve more. And then on top of that they are like THE elitist crowds you can find. Most New York audiences for major shows suuuuuuck, cause its all corporate. Yet because its "New York" artists still end up usually giving them something special. I've lived here my whole life, I love it, but the attitude and sense of entitlement is truly amazing.

Ive been twice to NYC to see The Stones. Like I've said before I have seen better shows and better crowds elsewhere. yeah the city was great but as far as The Stones go Id rather seen them in Buffalo.

It is this fall.

Currently? No. It's summer. Will be for a while, regardless of the equinox.

Petty squabble aside, is NYC "a lock" for 2018?

If the Stones were going to play again this year then you would have heard about it by now.
Save your money for next year.

MickScarey, alhavu1, Michael Savage, Stones50 and Potus43 have all been telling us it's a done deal for the last 6 years. They can't all be wrong, can they ?
