we are only in the group games, had the first round (plus some) played. So it's too early to judge already. And I think we had some fine playing and (in some matches) many goals. The Russians (8 in 2 matches), Portugal and Spain, the Belgians etc. So it's not that mediocre. And I think it will be getting better

Congrats congrats congrats, I pulled into the lead at the Euro, still got 2nd place, I never heard one thing about it. I only lost because looking at some people's predictions, there's just some teams you can't pick. I noticed at least, one from Uruguay did not pick Brazil or Argentina. I think Iceland received some favoritism from up north. There are teams, I can't pick.

it seems the rewards in this world cup are not for those with attacking endevour but for those who choose to defend.
peru very unlucky to be out of this world cup, should have beat denmark, and 2 out of the 3 remaining teams in the group have not impressed.

peru played some great stuff though, similar to what they did in 1978 when they beat scotland and iran.
i would just like to see some games where the attacking team outscores the defending team, or the defending team has to change their attitude and tactic or face losing the match.
so far, defences have come out on top in almost every game.

I guess Messi is spoilt in his club teams. Always the best players around him to set him up. Too much attention around Messi also. Doesn't do the team any good.

where as argentina are rank rotten. i felt sorry for messi tonight, i never hold back at critising messi if i think he makes the wrong decisions but tonight i dont think he done anything wrong, as for the players around him, they were shocking.

Sure, Buttons. But fact are facts. Ronaldo has scored 4 times in 2 games. Messi zero. Including a poorly executed penalty.
