Yes I know about Rod. I saw him twice, years ago. His Scottish connections are a tad on the tenuous side, his Leith born dad having moved South with Rod’s paternal grandparents over 100 years ago, so his family more likely to have been Hibbies. The Celtic thing arrived in the 70s when he met my fellow Hamiltonian, one Jock Stein, (former work colleague down the Pit with my grandpa in Blantyre!).
I’m lucky dipping today again as I have done the whole U.K. tour to date. If I score GC then you wom’t Be hard to spot in that gear and I will say hello

Good man yerself. Anyone with a Jock Stein connection is fine by me.
In the summer, I'm a tour guide in a mininbus driving all over Scotland with tourists from all over. I usually play a Rod song, give a bit of his back-story, and have a competition to see who can name the singer with the tenuous Scottish connection. An American guy got it once before I'd even played a note of music. He then confessed he had a slight advantage over everyone else.......He was the guitarist in Rod's band!! Emerson Swinford. A very nice guy who has promised me 2 VIP tickets next time they tour in Scotland. He'd never been to a Stones gig before but had sat in on rehearsals, as a guest of Ronnie.
Of course, I played as much Rod as I could on the way back to Edinburgh. Plus Around & Around and Down the Road Apiece to showcase Ian Stewart's piano skills.
Congrats!!
I also spent time buttering up the ticket holder In Manchester.. seemed to help!

Pretty sure the people know which enveloppes are lucky. Mine has a sign and after a fantastic joke about the weather from me (ahum) they laughed and one of the 2 lovely ladies give me an envelope and smiled sweetly and said maybe you are lucky with a wink.
So it wont hurt to try something

I have pulled a fairly decent lower seat (block E7) with my LD, but I don't need it as I later bought a pit ticket. Email me if anyone wants it for face (£35). It's a single ticket, not a pair.
