Rockman
I got the JLL "Definitive Collection". They had one other CD with SOTR, it was a "Best Of" also. I'll keep looking for one of those live versions.
BTW, I got it at the original store in Nashville from these nice folks

Christ ,

What a silly question , we all have "skeletons " in our closets !!

There must be thousands of songs you all shuddered at when they were originally released but as they aged they grew on you . As I write this post I've got a bunch of songs playing in the background which I've downloaded to ITunes , Some are classics , some are not , some are downright embarrassing !!

I love the chorus to the bee-gees penned song 'heartbreaker'. Just a good melody and nice harmonies.

Far too many others to mention...

However i'm climbing onboard the kelly clarkson boat. Since U Been Gone is a great pop song. She can really sing and she's pretty hot.

Also, agree with Adrian-L, 'back for good' is a superb pop song. I saw part of the 'an audience with take that' show on ITV in the UK a few weeks ago, and I have to say, they did it live and it was pretty damn good.

Also love 'There's your trouble' by the dixie chicks

And, when it comes to christmas, 'All I want for christmas' by Mariah Carey is great!!

OK, thats enough...

I'm a K. C. fan too.

I love the depth of the lyrics -

Do a little dance
Make a little love
Get down tonight.

Wouldn't this solve the problems of the world if everyone tried this? Not to mention "Keep It Coming, Love".

Really, it's got a great beat and you can dance to it.

As Elmo rants on, what's missing from "rock" music today is that one can't dance to (much of) it.

I remember when leaving the Wembley Sunday Voodoo Lounge show and there was the massive crowd trying to get back to the tube station; the police were on a flyover thingy with megaphones appealing at people to be patience which, in fairness, we were. Hell, we'd just been at a dynamite gig.

Anyhoo, the PC calling to us had a discernable Geordie accent (that's Newcastle, north of England for the unitiated) and some of the chaps who were quite close to me started shouting at him to 'Sing us a song, y'bastid, and keep us happy while we wait for tube'.

And in fairness to that policeman, whereever he is today, he started to sing 'Back for Good' over his megaphone in that accent and i just pinched meself thinking...'What the fcuk is going on here'...

Yeah on "Pleasant Valley Sunday". Great song.

"Safety Dance" about using a condom? Someone told me that years ago.

This is very embarrassing, but - Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel: (Come up and see me) Make Me Smile. And also Judy Teen.
Not so embarrassing: T.Rex - Get it on and 20th Century Boy. That Marc Bolan didn't get the recognition he deserved while he was alive. Didn't even make it to 30. Very sad.
