Back For Good - Take That

one of the best pop songs of the '90s

There is no song I secretly like. I either like it or not. But I know what you mean re the guilty pleasure thing. I LOVE 70's soul. Rose Royce, Atlantic Starr, Whispers, Peaches & Herb, the cornier, more saccharine, the better.
"On my Own" - Patti Labelle
"Secret Lovers" - Atlantic Starr
"Reunited" - P & H
"I'm Goin Down" - Rose Royce
"Found a Cure" - Ashford and Simpson
"Emotions" - Bee Gees
"Woman in Love - Barry Gibb/ with the unmentionable woman w/ the nose

"...no longer shall you trudge 'cross my peaceful mind."

OK I thought of some songs I try to keep almost secret: select songs by Yes w/ classic line-up of Anderson, Howe, Wakeman, Squire and White. (LIVE - "Perpetual Change", "Yours is no Disgrace", "And You And I")

"...no longer shall you trudge 'cross my peaceful mind."

Why would anyone claim to not like a song they actually liked? I don't get it. Do some of you actually allow others to determine what's "acceptable"? I find that odd.

That one is actually billed as Samantha Sang, but it's obvious the Brothers Gibb had a lot to do with it.

"You Took The Words Right Outta My Mouth" - Meat Loaf

I love Partridge Family songs. Pure American pop! And Shirley Jones on background vocals! Whew! I also looked just like David Cassidy in high school.

Wow. Thanks for refreshing my memory on that one. I didn't catch on to "Boom Town" until '93 or so; what a cool album from a lousy period in music--"Tonight's The Night" for the Reagan Years.

I wonder what has happened to David Baerwald. I hope he's OK...

As far as another moody, atmospheric 80's track, I still have a soft spot for "Life In A Northern Town" by the Dream Academy.

What! Are you ashamed of liking Solglasögon? That´s one of the most brilliant pop songs ever made. I love it, totally openlywinking smiley
