Does anybody know EC’s setlist from the RFKJ fundraising event in LA last night? At this moment it isn’t put on setlist.fm and whereseric.com. I searched but nothing turns up…

Who will be at the Crossroads Guitarfest on Sunday, aside from me and Daspyknows?

I am watching prices drop but it would be a day of decision. Since Daspy has me outgunned it might not be worth the trouble.

Dan: What do you mean outgunned? I am going solo. I'm hoping he gets everything on tape.
Indeed. Prices are dropping. Hope you decide to go.

I found a plenty of photos of the fundraiser. It’s linked on RFKJ’s official website. As it is political-related, I don’t put the URL here. Search by yourself if you want to have a look.

it's webcasting anyway but I am more interested in the Crossroads village stuff. I don't think that's being broadcast.

Yes!

At least Eric had a full set for Crossroads, night #2, and even brought Stevie Wonder onstage for "Crossroads." Played acoustic "Layla" too, mostly the hits...

And Stephen Stills joining in on Love The One You’re With, which was played in Eric’s slot.
More like a mini-set rather than full set, though.

I'll take 11 songs, if that's a mini-set.
T'was a real treat, after all the other acts, for the second last performer of the night.

Thanks for the link, RisingStone.

I was there all day from the first B stage performers outside. Got a nosebleed ticket for $12.39 mainly to get in that area. Was upgraded to Sec 112 right before H.E.R. Fell asleep during Clapton. Santana was great.

On the way home, at the airport, I met Cindy, Carlos Santana's wife and drummer for the band.
At the gate, I'm like, oh, "Were you at the shows?," not recognizing her. Yes, because...duh. She was on her way to another gig with her own band.

which night of Clapton's Crossroads did you enjoy more and why?

I passed on Lady in the Balcony sessions when it first came out. Picked it up a couple weeks ago. Great stuff!

Thank you! I also thought Clapton lacked energy. I was there both nights, second night was better.

To be honest if I would have looked at the Alice Cooper setlist instead of deciding to be "surprised" as part of the process I would have went to Crossroads day #1 instead though not sure if I could handle 30 hours at Staples Center in a weekend.

Day 2. I caught Samantha Fish and Eric Gales (plus 5 more) bands outside which was on fire and I loved the collaborations. My favorite indoor sets were Gary Clark Jr., Molly Tuttle and Sierra Hull and Los Lobos. Clapton could have made it better with an electric Layla, no Hoochie Koochie, Queen of Spades and Down and Out. Santana was really good too but going on 13 hours I was tired. Recorded 21 hours over 2 days from the row 20's on the floor.

I am going both nights. 11th row on Saturday and 3rd row Sunday. I've been to every Crossroads except the first one.

What did you think of the show each night. fzv98d?

Julien's Auctions, Beverly Hills, California

A guitar played by British music star Eric Clapton while in rock band Cream has topped a rock ‘n’ roll auction.

The 1964 Gibson SG electric guitar sold for 1,270,000 dollars (£1,023,000) to The Jim Irsay Collection after headlining the Worn And Torn: Rock N Roll Iconic Guitars And Memorabilia auction on Thursday evening, 16th Nov 23.

The auction house said it is the most expensive Clapton guitar ever sold at auction.

It is known as Clapton’s Fool guitar having been custom-painted with a psychedelic print by founding members of the Dutch art collective – Marijke Koger and Simon Posthuma – who became known as “The Fool”.
