Ronnie and Keith were both playing great last night.
Keith played much better that I've seen play in years. It doesn't mean he's the same guy who delivered insane solos back in the 1970's, but he's really upped his game last night, probably better than some of the best concerts of the ABB tour.
As for Ronnie, he was truly great, playing really fast, really loud and really well. They both complemented each other nicely.

Keith didn't deliver insane solos in the 70's he did that in 89' and 90'
Plenty of footage of Keith playing SFTD in a way he could never play it now.
Keith couldn't / didn't play it in the 70's like this either.
But i believe he could play it better than he did on Paris 2 if he wanted to.
He treated it as a meet and greet. But he was brilliant the rest of the gig.

Correct very different Keith's on SFTD in Paris 1 & 2 due to the sequencing of course. It would have been depressing to see the meet & greet in the opening number!

Generally speaking I found Keith sharper at Paris I, SFTD was terrific for a start. It's hard not to get emotional when Keith basks in the warmth of the adoration during his set but I prefer him a bit more "threatening" or as Dean Goodman put it in his "take no prisoners" mode ;-)

And yes I also got the impression that sometimes Ronnie plays "under" Keith, just in case, like on BS at P2. That must wear him out a bit. His playing on MR was terrific though.

Can anyone tell me if the VIP 1 tickets entered through the same entrance at 33 as the regular Pit ticket holders? One guy did tell me the VIP 1 entrance was at number 5, all the way around the side of the building and I forgot to ask someone with a red bag when I got to the Pit on Sunday. Have VIP 1 for the last show. Thanks.

Hi all,

just came back to Finland. This was the only gig for me during this tour. And I liked it very much!

Overall playing was good and relaxed. Highlights for me: Dancing with Mr. D, Rambler, and of course SFM. Last time for me was in Vienna 2014 and the level of their performance is in the same level IMO.

One more thing: I was in Carre Or. Sound was not so bad as I read it had been in 1st Paris gig. There were guys from Netherlands and from Belgium right next to me. And, guess what. Nobody in our Carre Or section sat down during the whole gig. Amazing crowd, happy faces, High fives after realizing JJF would be the opener.

Awesome. Just awesome.

Now we know what Mick does during Slipping Away: Dancing!

Anybody was in the fosse or with the early entry of the vip package sunday ? I’ll go there on wednesday and i’ve read and heard different versions of where to queue to enter at 4 pm with this early entry. Gate 33 or 14 ?

My 20th Stones concert, 2nd No Filter.

Just a few notes.

Arrived at the venue at 8.10. Taxi left us at the wrong side of the arena, had to walk all around the place to find the entrance. It could be worse, it could be raining! Well it did start raining ...

Arrived at the entrance with Fosse Or tix, but they would not let us in!!! They told us that they had finished the badges. Started getting nervous when the warm up gig finished. Really nervous when at ten to nine the security wanted to shut the doors ... Eventually a gracon arrived with a hand full of badges and we got in. JUST IN TIME. Had it happened in Italy, it would have been a riot!!

Band was tighter in Lucca, and the sound was way better there too, but nevertheless: great concert!!!

Never saw the band have so much fun on stage. Never.

Great to see Devil dumped as the opener, great to see Mr D and Hate to see you go.

Keith was particularly on. Ronnie only slightly less lively than usual.

Lots of subtle variations to the usual warhorses. Keith started Rambler REALLY slow. This allowed Charlie to drum differently. Loved it.

French crowd great as usual!

I would love to know what happened to Keith during Miss You: he went backstage after his set, only to return when the band at least one full minute or so into the song!!!

Highlights Paint it Black and Street Fighting man. Angie was great too!

The critic section: Satisfaction always on the verge of being a total train-wreck.

Yes I had exactly the same feeling watching him Sunday at exactly the same time. I couldn't help think that when Keith upped his game Mick comes to life even more. I love those two guys, still up there treading the boards together so late in life. They looked so warm towards each other the other night. This is the deal for me, it's always about Mick and Keith. No disrespect to Charlie or Ronnie.

14. Be there on time. Got in the line at 4pm and had hundreds of people in front of me. They make you go through security, check the name on your ticket and give you the merch in the corner of the arena around Gate 23 but you actually enter through Gate 14.

I arrived at the venue at 7:45, it only took us about 10-15 minutes to get into the "red" zone. Our experience was pretty smooth, it seems like ours was an exception though!

So true.He was with it and also driving it in many places and I got the feeling the Mick was comfortable with that too

Yeah that struck me too, especially on MR when Mick is at the tip of the catwalk, what, 30 meters away and Keith keeps an eye on him to make sure they stay in sync. Amazing really.

Talking about the catwalk I'm glad they found a way to do without the booming monitors they used to fire up as soon as the guitar players ventured there. What's weird is that unlike Mick they don't seem to have an IEM so I'm not sure how that works. Maybe because it's not as long as in 2013 at HP or in 2014 in the stadiums ?

You are welcome, yes i am ridiculous, i'm just used to the camps here, you know, Mick nuts hate Keith and visa versa . All i can say (again ) is i loved Mick but i lost respect for him during his solo career, but i gotta say i'm warming to him again lately.

Anyway i really loved the way you notice keith's timing, awesome observation, no one has said it like that before.
