Two of the best songs get cut. It's starting to look like a warhorse run, only from the opener. I was hoping for about 24 songs with a few interchangeable within the first dozen. Can we now call "Paint It Black" a warhorse?

I didn't make that up. I saw him coughing off the mic several times and going for water more than in Hamburg. Hope he's ok. His singing was fine, didn't get all the lyrics right but still.

It's getting that way. It's good to see SFM back in the set after a lengthy absence. The 2 dropped songs were my personal highlights in Hamburg and it would be nice to see them back at some point. Actually, I've already had them twice as I was behind the stage for the rehearsals with perfect sound
The band haven't done 24 song sets in Europe since Voodoo Lounge so I think you were being a tad optimistic there! I agree that it would be nice to see some changes every night to keep it all fresh.

Loved the show tonight even without Play With Fire. Such a good song and sounded great in Hamburg, hopefully it's not gone from the setlist for good.

So in the final analysis, Play With Fire & Under My Thumb out, Beast of Burden in and all the rest exactly the same. That still makes a 21 song setlist. Very decent effort when you consider they were already down to 19 by Licks Europe in 2003. 4 more shows for me, if they can keep it at 21 songs, or even 20, I'll be pleased.

Anyway I thought tonight's show was very good but maybe not quite on par with Hamburg. A few mistakes here and there, but it's all good. DWMD went better this time (they sound checked it) and SFTD was also better.

Was able to get in a pocket camera no problem. The only thing they took out was a tiny little plastic box for my earplugs. Go figure...
