Jagger and the crowd water bucket . .

Can we pinpoint the first water bucket that Jagger threw onto the crowd, and can we pinpoint the last water bucket? Did he start it in 1972? 73? or 75? Last one on the 81 tour? 82 tour?

Any photos of the Jagger using it on the crowd from each tour?

Wasn't he doing it on the Ya Ya's tour? So thats pre-72.

EDIT: Actually, maybe that was just a basket of flowers on the Ya Ya tour.

Don't think he did it on the American tour of 1969.

I found some photos from 1973 Europe (thank you Mr. Google) but I can't figure out how to post, damn!

Don't know about the first or the last, but the best use of the water bucket has to be on the press / media table at the El Mocambo in '77.

69 thru 72 the bucket with rose pedals. Europe 73 thru Europe 82 water buckets. I think he may have used a fire hose in 1978 at stadiums

Yes, fire hose in 78, pretty sure he held it like a penis in Anaheim! I thought buckets of water in '72 but would have to check the videos, they may be from '73.

I think that sounds right. Wonder if it was nearly every show during that stretch, or just when he felt the urge to do it

When Bill had his restaurant in Cambridge, I stumbled on a snap of Mick dumping water from the bucket. My tour "companion" got an earful and I couldn't stop talking about it. On the 2003 tour at Wembley, Mick dumped water on us only from a water bottle. We absolutely lost it.

I've seen some photos from Europe 82. In the film Let's spend the night together there is a Montage sequence at the end of satisfaction (@ 2:20) and shows Mick throwing his water bucket

I have vivid memories of Mick throwing water from a bucket on the crowd at the L.A. Coliseum shows, 1981.

I was close enough to the stage to get spattered by the fire hose in Memphis, July 4, 1975. My first show.

Someone just posted a video on Facebook from 1972 where he throws a bucket of water into the crowd during JJF and then goes to another container and grabs handfuls of rose petals and throws them on the crowd as well. It was filmed in Canada.

According to Greenfield's S.T.P. it was unusually hot in Toronto for the '72 show. Someone claimed the temperature onstage was 147 degrees (!) When the band came off stage at the end, Keith fainted from heat exhaustion. Might explain the water bucket.

I think theres a big differenc between "The Bucket!' which was almost a statement, and him throwing his old water of back-wash on us. Haha... That one is almost a giant F.U! LOL
