A great sounding REAL fuzz box guitar on the riff (never sounded quite right since), the acoustic can be heard, nice vocal. Hell, even the tambourine sounds good. Charlie is on, as always.

I'm not a completist, but this sounds great!

For me the live version from 69 on the deluxe Get Yer Ya Ya's Out. The DVD performance is just incredible! I love cranking that out!

i can't argue for it; it's just a tremendous miracle; it's like amazing that something like that happens in life. a little bit of that memphis horns all over the Stones live version after that is fair to say?...sort of like how Dylan liked Hendrix version of Watchtower so just adapted that to his own version...a little bit of that memphis horns in bobby and jim and the exile arrangements may be fair to say also...i would tend to think they were very hip to this...

No version since the 60s I'm afraid to say. These days it's just dragged out and loses its bite and that incredible relentless attack. So I'll go with the BBC version.

As powerful as the single was and is in my life It's somehow never been a live highlight for me; tho I love the hysteria of the earlier live versions when everything's a mess & they're just charging through it.
