I know he used to like Rebel Yell bourbon, which isn't exactly top shelf stuff. I figured I'd try it because of him, and it actually is pretty good. I've never found a bar that has it though.

Keith's Nuclear Waste actually is Sunkist Orange with Stolichnaya Vodka.

yeah, its Stoli and Sunkist

I remember he did an interview a couple of years ago, however with a large glass of what he described to the awed interviewer as his favourite 'nuclear waste' on hand...after a while, he popped out to the toilet and the interviewer decided to see what it actually tasted like for himself - and it was JUST Sunkist!! Maybe even Keith has trouble living up to his hard-living image at times!

No, it's the Sunkist that is the sweeter version of Fanta (do you have that in the US?), not the genuine orange juice. Sunkist is sweeter, more yellow and has less gass.

While we're on this topic, what are the others' favorite drinks? I know Woody likes his Guinness a little too much. What were Mick's and Charlie's favorites?

My my friends and I drink Sunkist with Vodka.

Sunkist has a lot of caffine in it so you get a little jolt from that and it tastes great!

It seems that Old Speckled Hen makes Keef's eyes light up when hops and malt are on the bill.

Christ! what a waste of the Stolichnaya, easily the best wodka available in the west. When mixing it with limonade he might as well take crap like Smirnoff.

Greg,

I guess you have not been to Poland or Russia, haven't you?

I agree that Stoli is no Absolut, indeed it is a good commercial vodka (personally I prefer viborowa, though), but a GOOD vodka is truly something elese!

Liddas,

Yes, I have been to russia (in fact the Ukrain) in the early nineties on some sort of student trip, one of the last organised by the now nonexistent student orgnisation Komsomol. And we used to drink a LOT of wodka with the ukrains: all brandless, some homemade stuff, for a couple of dimes only but of really great quality - never had a headache in those weeks. No wonder the russians call it 'water' (= wodka). Never found that quality over here.

Stolichnaya I used to 'grow up with' since my father used to drink it and therefore was the first I tried. But I'll try the Voborowa when I come across it.

Greg,

I admit I am in a priviledged situation: I have a Polish girlfriend + the brother of one of my best friends is Russian = plenty of wonderful vodka!!!

And I agree that the "headache test" is the best way to find out which vodka is bad.

Cheers!!!

Sunkist Orange soda and Vodka. He gave up the "brown"liquor cause they rot your liver. Good to know KR is being health conscious while maintaining that buzz.
