But Wyman, gently, politely, resolutely tries, though the challenge is made more complex by recent headlines announcing Wyman has “returned to the Stones,” which the fine print reveals actually means that Wyman has just flown to Los Angeles to cut one new track on an album made in tribute to their late drummer Charlie Watts.

And then Wyman reveals this isn’t exactly the whole truth.

“When Mick (Jagger) asked if I would play on one of the tracks in tribute to Charlie, of course I immediately said yes. But I haven’t flown in decades, so I just went over to Metropolis Studios here in London and recorded my part. Mick indicated he’s delighted with the track, so that’s a bonus, but that’s the extent of my ‘return.’ Are we finished talking about the Stones today?”

[variety.com]

So what about the nose punching story? Quoted out of context by the writer of the respective piece and referring to a session way back when Bill was still in the Stones? Or did all that take place in London too?

The nose punching story was satire by Madhouse Magazine.

"Let me put it this way, you haven't heard the last of Charlie Watts." - Keith, 2021

But what about the other quotes? You know, the "don't hold your breath" quote and the "I don't know where the new album is, do you?" quote?

I believe those quotes are from a couple of years ago now, aren't they? Back when things were more in a state of limbo? The second quote is from Charlie, I believe. Now, it looks like (hopefully) we may finally start to see this train emerge from a long tunnel. Fingers crossed!

Yes, I know they are older quotes, but he still likes to refer to them as well, as recently as 10 days ago. But maybe he's back on the believer train again!

So cool. These dudes shine electricity.

But, if I put my super analysist glasses on, a closer look revails a few things. First of all, there is Mick walking alone and leading the way. The commander in charge. Just him. Like always. The Stones move according to his mind. Then, secondly, on the left side, like on stage, there is Ronnie, and, interestingly, accompanied with his wife. Yeah, Sally gives comfort, supporting her
husband who knows exactly his role in business. Thirdly, on the way back, there is Keith, accompanied safely with his personal manager Jane Rose. This is a Stones thing, meaning big business, so to deal with the commander there is always a helping hand looking after his best interests.

Ladies and Gentlemen, The Rolling Stones!

Could also be a promo video for a tour announcement. Or maybe a combo of both a tour and sn album .."coming soon..." We need more pics and hopefully some more new quotes. Maybe Ronnie will spill the beans! Glad that Bill shed some new light on the slbum and confirmed he was back with the Stones for a new tune. Maybe Macca will be the next one to mention his involvement on the album...and then Elton, followed by the other special guests! I think it would be cool if they had Willie Nelson on a tune...maybe a duet with Keith.

Looks like Tony Russell to the left of Jane Rose, didn't he retire a few years ago ? Guess Keith convinced to stay on, can always hire someone else to help him ;-)

Oh and there's Mick's "guy" a few steps ahead of him too, one Mr.D if memory serves.

But damn, this is exciting, feels like 1997 again !

Sometimes a slow town here but as far as radio we have two good rock n roll stations daily (one is Buddy Holly type oldies). Stones play daily and yesterday Can’t You Hear Me Knocking came on the radio which surprised me

They probably wouldn't use a boom mic for a music video, so this is something else.

Yes, I'm getting music video vibes from that picture, a promotional video at the very least.

It's almost impossible to believe that there's a little ray of hope.

We should work out a contingency plan incase the hype for the brandnew Stones video reaches a fever pitch and then the thing comes out and it's a videoclip for one of the ffs outtakes

Whatever it is, it's definitely a step in the right direction. Hope we get some solid news soon.
