Does anyone have a good link to the interview? Is it only available in Europe?

It's part of the News-broadcast of "ZIB 2" - "Rolling Stones: Das Phänomen" - 15-Jul-2022, 10:00pm - [TVthek.ORF.at] - (Pos. 20:37).

Chuck chiming in to give some updates, but at least he's completely vague about it all probably because he knows close to nothing...

At least he said in the ORF-interview there'll definitely be new music .... (probably next year).

From an interview With Dan Cairns of The Times, published May 21. (Thanks to Cristiano Radtke)
A new album is in the works, Richards says. “We already had some stuff cut with Charlie. It should be coming next year.”

This is the SIXTY year. Next year will be the new studio album year. They can not both tour and work for months in the studio. If they compact the SIXTY tour, so that they do not have to add one month of rehearsals every time they do 14 shows, then may be there will be a time slot of 1-2 months next year, where they will get studio time available.
Keep in mind what the Times reporter is saying:
... "these men are of nursing home age — Jagger and Richards will be 79 this year, and Wood hits 75 in June ...
They simply need time to relax, rest, and also time for family, wives, children, grandchildren. it is not that complicated. You do not work 24/7/365 at their age.

Speaking of which, wonder whatever happened to good old Ian Billen?

Yeah DiegoGlimmerStones - gotta keep some hope alive...
And now we're back to citing articles and comments that are months old...going back in time...searching for hints and clues...
Speaking of which, wonder whatever happened to good old Ian Billen? Seems his frustration over a lack of new Stones material finally got the best of him.
I recall him not liking Ghost Town, and that might have been the last straw for him. A shame as he seemed like a good guy, and hope he's survived the pandemic OK.

He didn't follow the IORR-rules ....

Just did a search of IanBillen and his last post was from September 10 last year and it seemed harmless enough.

Don't recall reading those so wouldn't know. A shame as he was quite a dedicated fan and almost always had something thoughtful to offer...
Maybe if there's ever a new album released - which still seems highly doubtful at this point - he'll be allowed to come back to the forum if he wants.

For someone who's obviously lost faith you're surprisingly active in this thread!
As for Ian - what you both seemingly have in common is the apparent love for opening IORR and watching the "last post by Ian Billen or Hairball"-info for this thread. Until Ian stopped for whatever reason, of course. Maybe he was banned, maybe he realized that it's simply a waste of time to endlessly talking doom here...

Haven't fully lost faith yet, though it's admittedly not easy to hang in there...as Dylan once sang, "it's not dark yet, but it's getting there...."
There's still a small ray of hope, but it's getting dimmer by the day...gotta take it one day at a time...maybe a new quote from Mick or Keith will brighten up the day, or make things even worse...
For now we have Chucks words to hang our hats on...as little as they may mean, and for whatever they're worth. 535 pages and counting...time waits for no one....gotta try and keep the faith.
As for Ian, he is sorely missed around these parts - a truly passionate fan who always spoke his mind.
This site needs more like him, and it's sad to think he was banned...

Didn't Keith say sometime ago there probably won't be a complete album and they're looking at other ways of putting some new music out every now and then?

It was end of August 2020: "If this thing [pandemic lockdown] goes on much longer we might try to put out another track. Work differently, instead of making an 'album' album ... just release tracks." - [iorr.org] .

I am a little surprised they didn't come up with a new single for the European tour. Then again they didn't get Ghost Town before.

Almost two years ago...they could have released at least one more track since then...wish they would have.

What are the chances Mick decides to never publish any of the new material?

Two options:
If the material is any good, the chance that Mick vetos its release are similar to the chance that mankind will be able to travel in time within the next 5 years.
If the material is bad, such a veto could save their legacy...
