It IS a bit mind boggling! From today's Melbourne Age:

Mick Jagger’s eldest child, Karis Hunt Jagger, is 46 years old.
His second youngest child, Lucas was born in 1999, making him now 17.
Sir Mick also has five grandchildren and his first great-grandchild - a girl born to his 45-year-old daughter Jade's daughter Assisi, now 24yo, in 2014 - is now two years older than her newborn great-uncle. At least I think so. I might have to ask Stephen Hawking.

I don't understand this thread, all these people saying "Congratulations Mick" as if he'll somehow appreciate the sentiment. Who gives a shit, it's his private life. Let's talk about what amp and mic he pushed his harp through on the new album!

There's a thread for that, champ.

Mick is just following the pattern set by them 'ol blues guys.
Multiple relationships, loads of kids.
Love 'em and leave 'em (sort of).
Keith,by contrast is very traditional on this matter, it seems.

I made a quick calculus on this:

£150k a year x 18 = £2700k
+ extra £500k
+ house £5500k
------------
= total cost £8 700 000

An expensive child I guess...

For you and me it's expensive...for him it's peanuts.....8 children x 8 700 000 = 69 600 0000...he still has at least 200 000 000 left

OK now I get why people are discussing the child's name as if it was up to Mick. It's like naming rights with a stadium? People think that's part of the deal that was agreed to?

People are posting names and talking about them because a thread was started called "What will Mick name his new son?" and it was merged with this thread and now Mick probably wont be able to find the original thread and the child could remain nameless... unless... maybe he could contact Mercedes, Rogers, Edward Jones, Ford, Heinz, Lucas et al and they might cut a dealing paying M&M for naming rights.

Heinz Jagger... hmmmmm... idk

Everything is relative I guess. A pack of condoms is only around £5...

On the other hand, more offspring might mean more archive releases, maybe even new releases . . . the bottom line is going to need a little boost.
