Still waiting on a reappearance, EJM.
Some favs of mine would be the scarf me up posts, most everything on the fish shop and 1792 threads, stonestod's love affair with Chuck Leavell, Rockman's subversive, strange news stories that "innocently" lurk at the bottom of some legitimate story, and Jeroen's Man of La Mancha like quest to bring the Stones to the Ziggodome.
You must have missed Cristiano Radtke's reply to your request on page 1. I'm thinking he had the right thread. As I remember, "the saga" was in conjunction with the private show in San Diego, not the surprise public show in LA.
I can't seem to make the quotes work out correctly, but go back to page one of this thread and look for his reply to your original request. I'm thinking that's what you're looking for.

Yup.
No genius, but the thread took place likely starting on May 26th.
Reason being the private gig was right after the May 24th Petco opener in SD.
It was at The Belly Up tavern. I had been to that venue to see a stones cover band there the previous Saturday before the opener. Kills me to think I missed the real thing by a few days..

StonesTod was the master of snark! He got a bit carried away at times, but usually good for a laugh. He was good at reminding us how silly the whole "fan board" thing can get at times. What ever happened to him?

OK, I've just spent an hour trying to track down onlystones stories which I believe are from May 2015. I saw a whole bunch of stuff that is set in
San Diego. Not LA. But I haven't been able to retrieve it now that my guests have left this morning.
Does anyone know the precise dates in May that the banquet manager saga
began....and hopefully title of the thread.
I will reward the genius that comes up with it. Thanks.

Who was this guy, who up until maybe 2 years ago would always post these zingers. He was kind of sarcastic and jaded about it all, but always very clever and brilliant. He got himself banned for some reason.

Agreed entertainment at its best and gaslight is spot on with his rebuttals. The Onlystones adventure was pretty entertaining too - though annoying at the time. Rockmans posts are very clever as well - always tends to lighten things up which is good.

What I find funniest are the elaborate pieces of fan fiction spun by certain posters, detailing their close personal friendship with the Stones inner circle, none of which have ever been supported by a photo or mention in any of the hundreds of books and articles written about the Stones through the decades.
