One thing's for sure - it's one of Keith's finest guitar moments.

Jimmy Fallon skipped the Exhibition press conference the other night. His car pulled up to the pink carpet towards the end of the press conference. Jimmy's a good sport, even offering to climb over the barricade to go across the street to pose for selfies, sign autographs.
I think Jimmy's arrival might have been a diversion so the Stones could leave little building across the street where the mini press conference was wrapping up through the back door undetected, drive around the block and enter the Exhibitionism show through Industria's back door.

I think it's comparable to Jumping Jack Flash, a surrealist fairy-tail, rather bleak (more like Christian Andersen than the Grimm brothers), basically saying "I'm a freak, I'm weird, I'm a complete mess, but I'm doing alright anyway".

Totally agree. Always wondered how they would have arranged it for the '69 tour.

So true! LIB starts and finishes with two absolute masterpieces: not greats songs absolute masterpieces!
I wonder if anyone else in the rock has ever achieved such a tour de force?

That's how I see it too. Reveling, defiant, bemused--and hoping for an equal game partner--in down n dirty hedonistic decadence.
