Blue and Lonesome doesn't sound like a Stones album title...

And the cover looks half-assed compared to anything else the Stones have put out; this is a band that has had some of the most iconic album art in history

Title doesn't make a lot of sense indeed, oh well, Tattoo You didn't either ;-) Since they were doing covers, they should have covered this one : [www.youtube.com] ;-)

It is 3.00 PM UK time - because it says 2.00 PM GMT on the Stones website, and at he moment the UK is still on summer time, so GMT + 1

As for the announcement, PLEASE let it be about something interesting ... like the release date of the new blues record for example, and ideally which the band is actually planning to tour behind - and which (heaven forbid - gulp) might possibly mean THEY PLAY some songs from at the expense of ...

Announcement of the new album and release of the single for sure (source:Georgelicks) but some are saying release of the album electronically which seems "ambitious"...

For the time I was just pointing out that the GMT/PST/EST times were not compatible, unless it's 2PM UK time ;-)

I hope it's not called Blue And Lonesome. It doesn't sound like an album title at all. It's likely another song on the album. A Bigger Bang was also named as Manhattan Beach early on, but it turned out to be the place they mixed it. ABB was also named as Sweet Neocon in a Danish newspaper. Somebody hears something, and it gets twisted along the way.

No... When you buy just the "single" song in the apple store the album name is the same of song name

@Deltics: At that music-news.com page, I looked at Cindy Lauper's version of this, plus Musselwhite on harp - not bad. However, Trump got me frightened when I saw him, hehehe.

So in order to compare, I checked the 10 seconds of the Stones again - what a relieve - to me, it's much better, although Mick ain't no Musselwhite, hehehe ...
