LONDON & MOSCU are ready

What's that?

Probably Moscow. Yes, a 11 million city not visited 19 years, would make sense.

Or a private show in Moscow for - ah, forgot his name - the tsar...grinning smiley

I don't think Berlin after just three years. They did that in 2006 and it was a disaster (at least for the promotor).

Stadium was by far not sold out, although Leipzig was cancelled.

I never thought German fans could have a Stones fatigue. Germany was by far the strongest market in Europe for the band.

Remember that in 2006 Germany hosted the World Cup so concert ticket sales were probably affected by that.

Sure, they played Berlin 2,5 years ago, but they played the "small" Waldbuhne. I think they would have no problem to play another show at Olympiastadium the next year. And about those steep prices - prices of concert tickets have gone waaay up in the last 2 years - just look at what Gn'R, Aerosmith or even Robbie Williams charge for their 2017 concerts. And all those tickets sell without any problem. People are willing to pay more and more. And more. Stones will have no problem with selling tickets wherever they choose to play and (little sadly) whatever they decide to charge.

I hope they play the Festwiese Ostragehege (or the 32.000 stadium) in Dresden used by Robbie Williams, AC/DC so far and Depeche Mode soon. That is a virgin market, 80.000 tix would probably sell out quickly, because there's still demand and Leipzig is 120 km away (with the last show in 2003). Chances are not so good, though.

Here we are
[www.sympathyforthedevils.com]

English:

The Stones return to Stade de France, Paris
The group will play on 24 June at the Stade de France for what is likely to be the only date in France, during a European mini tour next summer.
The sale of seats should start quickly, possibly even before the end of the year.

Great news. Maybe bv can share a list of possible shows as ticket sales might start next week?! If they plan selling tickets this year they have to do before Christmas.

I heard
5/6 Vienna
24/6 Paris
1/7 Oslo
14/7 Nijmegen
Also Barcelona,London,Germany and Poland but no dates yet.

Dates and venues seem to be leaking through now so no doubt we will know sooner rather than later.

Nate thumbs up

That's nearly six weeks. Sounds like 13-15 shows rather than eight.

Maybe they slow down the pace with longer breaks between shows I don't know I could be wrong but I'm sure we will all find out soon.

On sale before the end of the year and we do not have a list of shows from BV? This thread is not even a sticky.

Is that possible? How reliable is that fansite?

Looks nice and the sooner we know more, the better! BUT the Vienna date looks suspicious - there is the Rock In Vienna festival and The Stones have been actually rumoured, but Die Toten Hosen have been announced as the headliner for that day. It doesn't seem very likely that The Stones would play the Ernest Happel stadium on the very same day as the festival takes place very close by. Though I would take a regular concert over a festival concert any day. Bv, help, you have been suspiciously quiet :-)

Also, following the pattern the concerts and tours have been announced in the last 5 or so years, it would be very unusual if we got any official announcement before March or even April.

Berlin Waldbuhne is such a fantastic venue and it would suit a bluesy set. London would be easier as I do not need to worry about travel expenses and accommodation. I would really love to see them perform a blues set in a small venuegrinning smiley

Mid June until mid July will give 4-5 weeks of two shows per week i.e. 8 shows or so. As soon as the contract for the shows is signed there will be something more to tell. Until then they may pick and reject shows on offer as they please.

Indeed there are talks about Nijmegen, Barcelona, Paris, Oslo and a few more cities, we just need to see them contracting to these dates.

Next year will see Aerosmith and Guns'N Roses in Europe in early summer. In the case, the Stones plan to tour Europe they will certainly choose dates in mid or later summer ... That's what I guess.

Anyway, hope to see them next year in Germany. Any place, any time.
