I don't think there is any love lost between the IIHF and the NHL. This always seems to be a bone of contention every year when this tournament is discussed on here. Anyway, it's over now but how about congratulations to Hungary, who, if I'm not mistaken, won a game for the first time in 77 years. Now that's a nice story!

Well, the Finnish Lions didn't roar. Team Canada contained them pretty well. And surprisingly easy. Congrats to Canada to a well deserved gold medal. Noticed President Putin's critisism of the Russian team in his speech?

Shortly, some critisim about World Cup of Hockey coming up in mid September:
- The timing. Having this cup when all the hockey leagues starts up is bad timing.
- Mixed teams. Who came up with that idea. Can it get any more stupid than that?

That's a beautiful goal, for sure, but, boy, do you ever look like a jerk if you don't score on that move. Doing it in an important playoff game isn't gonna endear you to the coach, especially when you're trailing by three. Pretty nifty top shelf, though.
